<span itemprop="description">This is the first Lego product that I have purchased since being a child. The Ecto 1 brings so much nostalgia I had to buy it and I was not disappointed. I know this is version is from the new film but it doesn’t take any of the giddy childhood feelings away. I couldn’t bring myself to put on the rust stickers as I personally prefer the clean look, plus I also think it would look a bit cheap. If the rust was printed on the Lego pieces then that is one thing but a transparent sticker slapped on the side doesn’t enhance the look.
I have built this twice now and the first time I really went slow and milked it for everything it was worth. I did about a couple of hours at the most on each occasion. The second time however I want to see how fast I could make it if I was to do it in one sitting and that is the time I have listed above.
Overall I am massively happy with the result and looking forward to building some more models in the future.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Les sets de la franchise Ghosbusters se comptent pour l’instant sur les doigts de la main donc c’est toujours un plaisir d’en avoir quand on aime cet univers.
De plus, la Ecto-1 fait partie des voitures iconiques du cinema des années 80 (avec la batmobile et la DeLorean que j’espère voir un jour dans ce format).
Encore une fois, je classe ce set dans les modèles que l’on peut acheter les yeux fermés :
- le rendu final est magnifique et très réaliste
- le plaisir de construire est permanent, il n’y a pas de répétitions
- des sytèmes très ingénieux sont proposés, notamment ce siège qui pivote à 180 pour sortir par la portière, c’est techniquement hyper bien fait dans un espace aussi réduit (le mecanisme est dans le plancher)
De plus en plus, Lego propose des sets aboutis et ingénieux, avec des mécanismes intéressants sans avoir à aller dans la gamme Technic.
Enfin, il est quasi certains que ce set prendra de la valeur avec les années, comme le QG Ghostbusters qui s’échange sur le marché de l’occasion à des prix indécents.
Je rejoins un précédent commentaire assez juste sur le pare brise griffé. Il est malheureusement fréquent que ça arrive sur les grosses pièces translucides.
Néanmoins, sachez que le sav Lego remplace ces pièces gratuitement sur demande.
Pour autant, si un jour Lego pouvait proposer un emballage spécifique pour ces pièces, tout le monde s’en portrait mieux :) (une pensée à ceux qui ont le stade Old Trafford avec sa verrière complètement translucide...)</span>

My only gripe is all of my window pieces were scratched and scuffed. They were so bad I buffed most of them with a common acrylic polish. You'd think that these would be protected better to prevent this from happening during shipping.</span>

Lego nous offre un magnifique set de la mythique Ecto 1 des chasseurs de fantomes.
Un modèle incroyable de qualité et de détails.
Une notice très belle, donnant plein d'informations.
Il faut compter sur une douzaine d'heures de montages pendant lesquels Lego démontrent tout son savoir faire.
Que ce soit, le système du siège pivotant, de la trappe, des détails intégrés, tout a été bien pensé.
Le seul vrai défaut: Tout ces stickers !!
Oui, ça permet de lui donner l'aspect original sans les traces de rouilles. Mais certaines pièces auraient du être sérigraphiées.
Les stickers sur les pièces arrondis se décollent vite... à renforcer.
Pour résumer: Que du bonheur pour les fans !

This is a great looking iconic model and was good fun to build.
The build process didn't include too many duplicated assemblies so kept you engaged. Cool, interactive features were paced out well and resulted in some fun rewards early in the build process.
If you want a more authentic 1980s version its simple to convert it close enough and leave out the dreaded stickers.
I'm already getting some great comments on my work video calls where this kit sits proudly in the background!
The bad: I was missing a part (a 1x6 in the windows bag 9) which I'm sure I have from other kits as its common, but still not nice to have that horrible missing part disappointment. My windows just open a little.
Speaking of windows Lego REALLY need to start shipping these display kits with better protection for large clear parts. Most of my windows were scuffed or scratched. Lego parts have lots of edges, just throwing all the clear parts in the same bag is not going to protect from in transit.
All those Afterlife version rust stickers are flat, repetitive and dull..
Overall a great kit spoilt by a few problems that could have been avoided. It would have been even better with the instruction options and parts to build both the original and Afterlife ECTO-1 versions.</span>

<span itemprop="description">When it comes to iconic vehicles from video and film what do you think of surely the ecto 1 is up there with the greats. The ecto1 a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex was a sort of ambulance come funeral car hence the duplex name. Like other car manufactures at the time Cadillac supplied bare bone chassis for coach builders to build vehicles around. This is how Miller-Meteor came to use this as a basis for their ambulance come hearse. For obvious reasons this car achieved critical claim but sad was left to rust in car park lot at universe studios. A Petition was put together which happily saw this iconic piece of film restored to it original condition.
Lego Carl Merriam Mike Psiaki and Ghost Corps have captured everything that makes the ecto iconic. From its sleek Cadillac lines rocket light tail fins ghost sniffer accurate machinery in the back the model is oozing in details. Its pays great homage to this iconic car that will please fans old and new.</span>

This Lego Model is a great masterpiece, I was more in Lego-technik when I was young, but since new Lego-technic is not what I know from the early years, I love Creator Expert, lot's of old-school technic parts are used in those sets.
I built the Ecto-1 together with my 11yo son on a Sunday morning in December 2020, approx. 5 hrs great building time together.
Since I just bought me a second Ecto-1, I was thinking of building a stretch Cadillac Miller-Meteor with two rear axles, out of the two Lego sets.

<span itemprop="description">Loved the idea, purchased this one for myself. It took some time which was nice. I didn’t like that some parts held together by 1 brick piece and a few times the pieces did not go how they should or blew apart and took time to figure how to carefully reassemble. Also had the first experience of “missing a piece” which bummed me out especially when it was on the tail end of build. Replacement is scheduled to ship asap. I’m happy with it but also a bit bummed with it.</span>

I'm the biggest fan of the Ghostbusters franchise and although I'm looking forward to the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife film I wanted the exterior of my Ecto-1 to represent as close as possible the classic car from the original 1984 blockbuster. A few alterations were needed to achieve this but with a little thought and one or two Lego pieces borrowed from other sets I did it! :) Please Lego can we have the Back To The Future DeLorean next!?</span>

<span itemprop="description">Second Lego set with a missing piece but my main complaint is that the clear plastic 'window' pieces are scratched. This is becoming the norm with the clear plastic in lego kits. Perhaps as a suggestion Lego can place these into soft tissue wrapping? It is very disappointing that the finished model looks second hand. Cant be bothered with the replacement parts, as they will also arrive scratched. it is my one complaint with the clear plastic - every kit is the same. Some worse than others, but this is the worst as the main vehicle windscreen has multiple big scratches.
The kit itself is interesting and a very heavy structurally sound kit. The build is interesting and the moving vehicle parts are also very good.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Amazing build! Love the different techniques, some things look wonky until you put the tires on and then everything lines up nicely and I just love the completed model. I had a blast building it but something has to be done about the clear window screens. I’ve seen multiple people echo this problem. For the amount you pay you hope things are in better condition. Maybe a plastic film that can be peeled off so they don’t get so scratched. I also has a chip on the bottom part of one of my ghostbuster logos, which is the one piece you really don’t want damage to. Otherwise I’m super happy, if not for the scratched windscreen I’d give it a 5 star review</span>

<span itemprop="description">As a kid growing up in the 80's, who didnt love the Ghostbusters. My first small set was actually the smaller Ecto-1 from a few years ago. This was a gift over the holidays and I did a bag a day to keep myself occupied. I really enjoyed the attention to details this set had and gimmicks, even though I totally thought I was installing the piston for the turret chair wrong. I did the build without the rust stickers, It was the only draw back to the set, but its a nice mix of bricks and MINDSTORM pieces (not sure what they are actually called). Glad I built it, I got back into LEGO when I became a robotic coach, on to the Nintendo Set.</span>
