<span itemprop="description">This is one of the most beautiful sets I've ever put together! So many little details that they could have easily just not bothered with, like a tiny gas pedal in the floor board, or the functional steering wheel. The "play" features are a bit finicky, but I plan on keeping this displayed on a shelf so that's not a huge issue. The entire time I was working on this build, I was just gobsmacked with how faithful the model's design is to the original vehicle. I opted to not apply the rust decals, and I think it makes the set look so much better.
If you or someone you love is a Ghostbusters fan, this set is a must own. Just make sure to make space for it, because this thing is a monster at 19" long.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for a good friend who wanted to get into LEGO, and liked Ghostbusters. And she had a great time building it. It stands on display proudly.
The only thing keeping it from a 5/5 is that it could have really used a UCS style plaque and a couple of minifigs with it. Considering most other vehicles in this style get them (Batmobiles, Back to the future DeLorian, all Star Wars UCS sets etc.) But this isn't a fault in the set. Just a side effect of heightened expectations due to the excellent quality of other sets.
I would definitely recommend this to any Ghostbusters or LEGO fan</span>

The detail in this set is absolutely astounding. The gunner seat mechanism is phenomenal and the mobilized ghost trap is so cool. The only thing that could have made this better is if it were to include minifigures of the four original Ghostbusters. Overall one of the best Lego sets ever.</span>

<span itemprop="description">First let me say that if you’re a fan of Ghostbusters, Ecto-1, or old Caddies then you’ll likely love this set. I like the GB’s but I just don’t love this model. It’s a good model and a good build with some great play features, there’s just something leaving me cold and I’ve been trying to figure that out before posting this. NES, BTTF DeLorean, Lunar Lander, even the mini Tumbler have all resonated with me from start to finish. Ecto-1 makes me wish I could return it for a full refund and get anything else and this disappoints me as it is a good shelf piece in size and stature. The model itself is solid with only a few finicky pieces if you’re playing with it, all the play features work as long as you pay attention and test them during the build, I just don’t geek out over it like I do the DeLorean and I should have waited to buy a different set that I really wanted. If Lego would hurry up and get sets back in stock I might not have felt like I wasted my money. Sorry Ecto but you’re not a winner and you might have to go. Maybe some mini figs would have changed my mind, maybe it’s that something is missing, or maybe it just wasn’t for me.</span>

I found plenty of awesome details and hidden machinations throughout, fulfilling my need to be delighted like a child. And yes, I grinned like one the entire time.
My issue was with the very clever seat swinging spring loaded thingy. While an awesome design that worked very well, the door doesn’t want to stay closed. I will take a closer look when I rebuild it, and there’s definitely a chance it’s my fault.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Beautiful lego set, which you can even play with. It look stunning. I would say it is worth every penny. Everyone who see it falling in love with it.
Easy to build. And it has quite lots of features. It take around 6-7 hr to build. I had lots of spares left, which sort of scared me because I thought I might forgot something. So went several times through the plan to make sure all is in.
The ejector seat is nice but it can be quiet temperamental and hard to push it. I took it apart to make sure that all is done correctly. The pulling button for release of the little Ghost trap usually stay with my hands (the lego bits you pulling) so I think I will put some better handle which I need to create.

<span itemprop="description">I bought this as I’m a huge fan of ghost busters. I found that once built it was hard to keep it together. Just a slight touch and PIRS would fall off. All pieces are pushed together correctly however it’s just too flimsy to keep it together. I love Lego but this set has truly disappointed me.</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set roped me back into building Lego for the first time since my childhood. I grew up with the original Ghostbusters movie and this incredible model hits all the right notes for me.
I seem to be rusty after such a long time away from the hobby because this set took 8-9 hours to complete. I had to backtrack a few times because I misaligned something, but the build was smooth overall. I did have a broken 4x10 plate for the hood and it took 20 days for a replacement to arrive. Thankfully, I was able to complete the rest of the build because that section was independent from everything else. It would've been a huge inconvenience otherwise.
There's so much to love about the Ecto-1. The playable features are so clever and it simply looks fantastic. This was so nostalgic and brought back a lot of fond memories.</span>

I really enjoyed this build and so did my son. I think it’s quite sturdy, you just have to follow the instructions carefully.
The end build is amazing and I love the moving parts, the RC trap and gunners seat. All working for me.</span>
