<span itemprop="description">My first Lego set as a child in the early 1970s was Lego’s first lunar landing set - a blue, bricky version full of straight lines, astronaut mini figures, and a lunar buggy that really didn’t look at all like the real thing. But that didn’t matter because I loved Legos and wanted to be an astronaut so I played with it for hours and hours and hours.
I was incredibly excited when Lego announced it would be releasing a 50th anniversary lunar landing model this year. I’ve built dozens and dozens of Lego models as an adult, but I’ve never had more enjoyment out of building a model than this lunar landing set. It’s not the most technically difficult model (although the leg construction uses some interesting techniques), but the level of detail made it fantastic. I’ve spent more time than the average person studying the Apollo missions and am blown away with the care and detail in this set. Of course there’s the iconic flag and two astronauts, but there are smaller details like the hidden camera that was used to film Armstrong’s first steps and the panels that were left on the moon to reflect laser beams back down to earth. The detail in the crew compartment is equally nice and the fact that it detaches from the landing module just like the real one is perfect.
All in all, next to the Saturn V model, this has been my favorite build by far. If you’re reading this, Lego, please keep producing these fantastic space models. I’d love to see a Skylab model, a redesigned space shuttle model with more detail, an Atlas V, or even the early renderings of NASA’s Orion spacecraft.</span>

My Father worked on one of the real Lunar Modules, and that is what inspired me to build this. It is expert level, and I do admit, there were a few tricky areas, but I got through it fairly quickly. I am impressed with the instructions also. This kit inspired me to build some others!</span>

En revanche petite déception sur les mini figurines, on dirait qu'elles sortent d'un film de science fiction et ne sont pas du tout fidèle aux astronautes de l'époque. Mr Lego s'il vous plait, renvoyez nous de vraies mini fig pour aller avec ce très joli set.</span>

<span itemprop="description">There's something about the design of the Lunar Lander that lends itself to being rendered in Lego. The result is a kit that is very fun to build, very ingenious, full of detail and looks amazing when complete. I'd say the most satisfying Lego build I've made to date, and a future classic. To bring this out in the year of Apollo 50 is a worthy tribute.
The bumpy, peculiar shape is perfect, the way it fits together (things like the way the ascent module clips together and can be opened, the way the ascent module clips on to the lander) is a joy, and even building the baseplate is satisfying. top notch design.
The anonymous minifigures are perhaps somewhere where there was room for something extra, but a tiny gripe compared to the joy of the thing.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got this set when it came out in June together with the Nasa patch and waited until July 20th, 2019 to build it during the hours when Neil and Buzz were up on the moon 50 years ago.
The set is an absolute celebration of the lunar landing. So many little details are included: The antennas, the camera that recorded Neil Armstrong when he stepped first on the moon, the interior of the LM, the oxygen and fuel tanks, the ladder to get down to the ground, the steering handles, and so much more. We played at home the entire moon landing and had much fun.
The set is gorgeous to look at, the golden pieces are just looking beautiful in the light.
This set is outstanding and thank you Lego for making this special set for this historic opportunity .</span>

I already have the Saturn V and have been waiting for the 50th Anniversary with baited breath (I missed the actual launch by 9 mths, born 22April 1970). It was a brilliant surprise. The set is outstanding, with a relatively straight forward build and a good level of detail. It is proportioned well for the minifigs and is a good size for shelving to display once finished. Sets like this keep me interested in Lego, even at my age.</span>

J'ai quand même mis en toute modestie ma petite " patte perso " concernant la fixation des propulseurs en restant le plus possible crédible à la réalité ! Je viens d'acquérir également la Fusée Saturne 21309 ( pas encore montée ) et Lego serait bien inspiré de continuer cette collection avec pourquoi pas une Ariane en restant dans l'échelle ! Cette dernière étant plus petite cela ferait surement une boite à un prix compétitif ! Il faudrait aussi revoir le Shuttle car le nez de la boite proposée n'est pas beau et le prix est astronomique !

<span itemprop="description">Believe it or not, this kit was a Father's Day gift. I have been a NASA fan for many years, and it was great to see such a great LEGO rendering of the LEM. It's kinda funny though...I noticed in all the box photos and even here on the site the slanted vent pieces above the main hatch are upside down! Not sure why they photographed it this way. The instructions and manual drawings clearly show them slanting downward, not upward. That bit of trivia aside, this is a GREAT KIT! Really enjoyed it. It now sits on my desk at work as a display piece. I built the Saturn V last year...now I guess I need the command module! :-)</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for my hubby who is a Lego enthusiast and is more experienced than I am. He really enjoyed building it. It took him four evenings about three hours at a time. The build is very detailed with lots of hidden items reflecting the construction of the lander. It looks really cool when completed and so nice to have the base plate to display it on. This is not a set for beginners but any Lego enthusiast will love building it.</span>

The terrain looks really good and holds the lander in position very well. the only things i have to say are the gold foil stickers are a pain to realign without damaging them and giving Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin generic city faces is just a little disappointing. <span itemprop="description">I was barely around for the Apollo 11 landing. I'm a bit of a space/NASA nerd. I bought the Saturn V as soon as it came out, and bought the Lunar Lander as soon as it came out. Love to have these historic icons as collectors pieces. It was a fun build and is a great representation of the original.</span>
