My husband and my five year old son enjoyed putting this set together. It took them around two hours to complete. As with any Lego building experience, it’s a very fun, memorable time. My five year old son who is approaching six, had no issues following the visual directions. We had some left over parts, which we stored in a safe space in the event that we may need them.
My son loves that he can play with this and display it when not playing. The space science lab opens up with endless amounts of fun playing opportunities. It’s super versatile in terms of how you can play with it!
If you’re a Lego fan or have a child who is into legos/space, this is a very fun building activity that is highly rewarding!</span>

Loved the way the building can open up like a "story book" and this allows for great "Playability" for my Granddaughters. They can play inside the space station and experience all the nice detail on the inside. The little alien in the space suit is very nice. I love the front door assemble, great playability for the girls.
Dislikes: What is the deal with the wheel chair? Wheel chairs in space??? With all the talent you have at Lego this was the best you could do. No Jet pack?? No hover vehicle to move his about? Even my granddaughters know wheel chairs don't work in space.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Excellent set overall. My 4 year old was able to build this with only some adult help. He loved the ability to open it up and easily place mini figs.
Only knocks against giving this a 5/5 are as follows:
-There are a few stickers, which would have been better as printed elements, given the suggested 6+ age range. My 4 year old already knows that printed elements are better than stickers. I think this set with all printed elements at a slightly higher price would make sense.
-The sliding door can be somewhat fragile, and has had to be fixed a few times before my kid understood how to play with it.
Overall, a great set that anyone into the new, modern space line should add to their collection.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The shape is sci-fi with a dose of bare practicality. The inclusion of a bed, shower, and television help to, when combined with the space base, make a more complete and homey living space for the astronauts especially counting the mess hall in the space base. The two sets combined allow the astronauts to have areas for eating, sleeping, medical and recreation on top of the laboratory portions. The only thing I think might be missing is some sort of farm, maybe in the form of hydroponics unless they plan to eat the alien flora.</span>

I have it displayed next to my Space Hoverbike, like they're about to race. My favorite space character (from the Intersteller Spaceship) is included as well. Is that a constellation on her face? Is it a tatoo? Is she alien? Lego Space is so back. Oh... and that alien in a spacesuit... are you kidding me? So cool!</span>

<span itemprop="description">This set is just one piece of a space set, and in reality the entire set and all of its connections need to be included in one set to have it make sense and be more fun. This is a fun set and has plenty of options for play, yet all the sets should be included and not expect to be purchased separately. Build time took about one hour. There are separate instruction books for each bag of parts.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Got this lovely new set on release day. A good tricky build and lots of hidden features including a bed and oven with cup. Would highly recommend! However grab it while you can because I’ve heard it’s retiring at the end of the year.</span>
