[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set was perfect for my space loving 8 year old. He was so excited about this galactic space ship! The instructions were clear and he was able to complete it with no assistance. My two sons have been playing with it non stop since it’s been built . There is so many ways to play with this LEGO set! He loved the figurines that came with it also. A must have for LEGO lovers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandson is head over heels in love with LEGOs. He was so excited to receive this set. He is very good at building, so this was perfect for him. It's a large set and not for beginners. We'll see how long it takes for him to build this one. This is a set he hasn't seen before.

good looking, but with play feature issue
Lets get the good out first: its a fun build. it look cool and way better in person , and I enjoy it.
Now for the less good : the play features:
- the airlock design was a good idea but badly implemented on this design, which is a shame. when you see modular like blacktrons that don't need additionnal part to held modules together, or to add/ remove pieces as you dock/undock (like the habitant wall)
- the back habitat looks good but it's so busy, even kids with tiny hands have a hard time moving things around. you can remove things and it looks really good, but it's a bit of a frustration and the fact you need to add wall to the airlock is a miss opportunity
- lastly, why doesn't the front units cockpit and storage unit not on hinges is beyond me. Again an easy fix but that should have been considered
Overall I like it, but with a few change this would have been a 5/5 easy. If you buy this set, consider doing a few upgrade to make it better. The need for those upgrade Is what make me not recommend this set, which I was looking forward to

I hope that LEGO City Space makes some homes to their space series. back on Earth, the only places like Enceladus that Earth people could try to even plant trees on, is Antarctica and maybe Greenland.
I've forgotten some of the other worlds in this solar system that are safe to go to for warmth, but in a LEGO way, I don't know what's still available for somewhere to go to live in this solar system.
in the meanwhile... I hope you can revisit Mars more, in a City Space hopeful way.

Nearly perfect
The entire City Space offering is a fun homage to the original Space series I grew up on. I love the modular aspects of the build. The only thing missing is a place to mount the lab end caps when not in use. That would make it absolutely perfect.

A Worthy Successor to Classic Space
I quite liked building this set. After doing the Renegade and its modular system I wanted to try the Neo Classic Space set which also boasts a modular set up.
Each part of this build was cool and there were some interesting techniques. I think I prefer the Renegade's interlocking system a bit better as it enables more customization, but I do like how this set is essentially a mobile base. I like the look of the airlock system too. The support tiles (shown in the last pages of the instructions) do greatly aid the swooshability of this set.
I have built the smaller ships in this series and I plan to see if they can also be connected and if that increases the amount of customization.
The more I interact with this theme or sub-theme, I feel that it is a worthy successor to Classic Space, having the same feel, open ended story/mission as well as fostering creativity and imagination.
I think that this set hits all the marks, which is rare these days, I think the price is reasonable for what you get and that it delivers on all of its promises.
GREAT WORK LEGO!

MOAR Space Lego!!!
When I saw this set released, I was ecstatic to see Lego continue with the Space theme after the 2024 releases. My only comment is MOAR SPACE LEGO! Keep them coming. My only recommendation is that the space theme should be split out from City. Space deserves its own Theme again.

A bit on the pricey side but a very good entry
First, let me address the small details that I wasn't entirely satisfied with. The most important it felt a little too expensive for The size of the starcraft and I have a minor gripe with crew uniformed minifigs because they are mismatched with the rest of the space theme if you look at the image I've combined them with the rest of the sets, I also wasn't a fan of the batteries being on the wings but this is Lego so I just changed it, I do wish it was a tiny bit bigger as It doesn't quite feel right to be this sized for four people.
Everything else is immaculate.
It does have quite a few play features That would make it fun to play with and It displays very well with the rest of the space sets.
This was by far the most enjoyable space theme set to build well I am a hobbyist so it will not be played with much.
If I was only able to buy one. I would probably buy this one, I hope Lego keeps up the good work and Maybe delivers a bigger or same size but non-modular spaceship like a sized up version of the Interstellar starship.
