My LEGO Architecture sets allow me to display something I really enjoy while having a more mature aesthetic to them, which is a great plus. No? Oh good, so it's not just me then! Seriously, the build design was really good but Lego just can't get the basic colours right. The Eiffel Tower is not grey. The Arc de Triomphe isn't white either. An intermediate build which didn't take too long but I was a bit disappointed to find two key bits missing from the kit - unusual for Lego. Fortunately I had some spares - just as well really. I found it very satisfying to build and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon I spent doing it. The finished product looks great and I'm going to put it on display until the next time I feel like building it, at which point I suppose I'll dismantle it and build again! He builds them quickly with no help from us, the instruction booklet is very clear. I want to do Lego architecture for its design details and representations of monuments throughout the world this is like an expressionist painting of several building with as little detail as possible. Plus it seems like they are doing so many of these now to fill time between releases of better architecture sets. I feel like I have to buy them to complete my architecture collection but I don't enjoy them nearly as much as the detailed buildings. Lego should make skyline it's own category for those who wish to have more of these. Also the price is going up and I don't feel like they are good value for the price these days. As far as Paris specifically the buildings were mainly repetitive small pieces but the Eiffel was a nice solid design although the scale compared to the building just doesn't seem quite right, could be me. The proportion and roof pieces especially shows the much closer resemblance to the Pyongyang arc de triumphe, which is not a replica of the Parisian one. These city skylines were interesting.....at first. Nothing much to say about this one. If you&rsquo;ve built one in this series, you&rsquo; vet built them all. Not bad, just &lsquo;ho-hum&rsquo;. Quality of Lego justifies the price. I&rsquo;m now at the point where I wish this &rsquo;theme within a theme&rsquo; would move out on its own and we&rsquo;d get more and larger stand alone architecture sets. These sets would be best moved out of the architecture series and sold as souviners in the cities they represent. I have no problem with &lsquo;repetitiveness&rsquo; when building a large structure like the Taj Mahal.
