The instructions are very easy to follow, you put it together in sections and then connect them. It is a relaxing activity to do and the pieces are color and number coded so you don't get confused. Some of the colors are a little close so the numbers help a lot. After you build it you can rebuild it as the other character, but it is a lot of work to remove all of the pieces even with the tool. It requires a lot of patience and concentration to follow the instructions. The instructions are pretty straightforward and display small blocks of the overall picture so you can correctly put the colors where they belong. This is not a typical &quot;lego&quot; in my opinion as almost all the pieces are round. I do love that it has Mickey and Minnie options. The photo I saw when I ordered was Minnie and when I got the box I was disappointed at first because it has Mickey, but then I realized it includes options to do either one which I thought was a great idea. It was so beautiful he kept looking at it and smiling. It took him a couple of days to finish because he worked on it a couple of hours a day. After he got done with it he put it on the wall in his little brother room.
