I am actually pleasantly surprised by how long it kept my kids entertained and how easy it was to clean up. My kids (ages 4, 7, and 8) played for over an hour creating impressions in the sand and then flattening it out to start again. Naturally there was a mess but it was incredibly easy to clean up! They spilled some on our leather chairs and our tablecloth. For both I followed the instructions and used a bigger piece of sand to pick it up and it worked! I like that the sand doesn't dry out as well. We stored it in a baggie and they took it out again a few days later and it was just as fresh as when we opened the package. I would happily recommend this product to a friend and I would go buy more for my kids.</span>

We have played with kinetic sand over the past couple of years, but I never purchased it with a box and tools, only as a sensory toy to touch. It took the kinetic sand experience to a new level. I loved that there was a box to keep the sand contained. Normally I just use a cookie pan but the kids preferred this. And I never thought about using tools and shapes to make something similar to sandcastles and other scenes.
This bought me a goos hour of (clean) quiet and the kids have already asked to play with it again today!</span>

The set we received included one pound of green kinetic sand, the box, a shovel, a crab, castle and turtle mold. The sand is so neat and relaxing to play with. You can mold, shape and build with it-or my personal favorite, just hold it in your hands and feel it slide through. My daughter and I have so much fun playing with this set. If you happen to get any kinetic sand on the floor you can just use a piece in your hand to pick it up (like tape). The one thing I wish this set came with is a cover of some sort to keep everything contained but otherwise a really nice play set. I would definitely recommend.</span>

This stuff is so incredibly satisfying to play with, and the molds work so well and makes the sand hold together really great. It comes with 1lb of sand, which it would be nice if there were more, but this is still an ok amount. My one complaint is I wish the box that you play with the sand in was a little bigger. Its probably fine for older kids, but for the littler kids, its very easy for them to have sand go all over out of the box. This isnt a deal breaker, but would be much more convenient and make for an easier clean up if it were bigger.</span>

It doesnt stick to clothing, rugs or furniture and vacuums up well if some gets on your rug (this sand clumps together so its easy to clean up). This sand is soft and squishy and doesnt stick to hands either. Its super easy to mold and the molds have a little knob on top for ease of removing the sand. Definitely a no mess toy that I highly recommend!</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Daugther and I were thrilled to learn we were selected to review a Kinetic Sand Sandbox Set. Kinetic sand is the favorite toy in our house and we have multiple sets.
This set comes with 1 pound of purple Kinetic Sand, 1 sandbox tray, 1 shovel tool and three molds. The included mold shapes are a sandcastle, a turtle and a crab. I like all of the items that are in the set, they are very sturdy and well made.
The Kinetic sand releases easily from the molds and leaves a detailed shape. The sandbox tray is also sturdy and well made, a big upgrade from the cardboard boxes that come with some of the other sets Ive purchased. The tray also gives you enough space to build. The shovel is the perfect size for little hands and can be used for scooping and chopping. There are also three small seashell molds that are built into the handle.
My daughter, five, really loved that the color of the sand is a dark purple. We do not have any colored sand, so this was a fun feature for her. She also liked that it made unique sandcastles, she cant make a purple sandcastle at the beach.
I think that the amount of Kinetic Sand provided with the set is adequate. We were able to make one of each item and still had some sand leftover to play with. When loose you can cover the entire bottom of the sand tray with Kinetic Sand.
We were provided this item in exchange for a honest review, and honestly I would purchase this item again. I would recommend this item for a gift or just something to add to playtime at home. It also would not be hard to stick all of these items in a zip top bag and pack it for travel. If you already have Kinetic Sand at home it would make a great addition and expand play with some new items.

<span itemprop="description">My boys had great fun telling stories as they made and demolished and rebuilt their sand models again and again. They were absolutely engrossed for ages. And I have to say they made very little mess, due to the kinetic sticking nature of the sand. And now some comments from a mum's point of view. Firstly I was very pleased that Kinetic Sand only contained one colour of sand, as our existing sand toy has two colours and they are now very mixed together. Next I was very surprised to see that the tray did not have a lid like our existing toy. I was too worried to store an open tray of sand just in it's cardboard box. Too much risk of spillage, so I bagged the tray and contents in a large plastic bag before putting back in the box after the boys had finished playing. Also I read on the reverse of the box that you should store Kinetic Sand in a sealed container to keep it clean and dust free. So another reason why a lidded tray would be better. The children were playing with the sand on the table and it caused extensive damage to the finish including deep gouges in the wood. If the sand becomes trapped between anything it will scratch your table. USE CAUTION!!!!!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Purchased it as a Birthday gift for my four year old. He loves it, so does my six year old.... So do I. My husband and my parents also took turn playing with it.... You'll see its awesome. The sand box it great at keeping it all pretty clean, but of course there will be a little mess, much easier to clean up than play doh.</span>

We were very hesitate to try this product at first, we thought the sand would be all over the place and that was stopping us. But we are glad we got this it. The sand is loose and doesn't stick to the surface. It's a lot of fun to play with and doesn't dry out. Great product.</span>
