It conserves its charge very well, I barely ever need to charge it. It is kind of slow but I think its a good thing rather than a bad thing, since children from the ages of 18M-36M use them and they could get hurt going at a faster pace. Now that my daughter is 2 and much more active I feel that she kind of gets bored going at such a slower speed and she gets off it and runs. And also like I said my daughter is 2 and she still finds it extremely difficult to steer or maneuver.
