<span itemprop="description">Kids love it but it arrived without hardware. I called and hardware was shipped but no directions. Directions are available online though but weird that they aren’t included. Door hinge not clear in directions so was not able to install door as the small wood pole that it connects to seems too fragile to unscrew and screw into again at a different angle. Also came with chemical smell but has mostly gone away. Wood splintered in a few places.</span>

I wanted the house for my daughter’s room, so I took the table off. I’m hoping to modify it somehow so that it will fold down to save space. We love this house!! It is time consuming to put together, but everything I needed came with it and nothing was damaged. I needed help with the door hinges and roof, otherwise was able to put it together on my own. Good quality for the cost.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got this kit for our 3-year old granddaughter, rather than build one from scratch. I was impressed with the design and its many "cute" features, but had to use a lot of DIY skills to address several flaws. To begin with, the wood parts are rather thin, prone to warping, and somewhat fragile. Some split, or even broke completely, in shipment. I ordered replacement parts, but was able to do a partial fix with wood glue and furniture clamps. Worse, some of the plastic parts broke in shipment, particularly the plastic window frames. I was able to clamp these into place and hold them with exterior caulk for now, hoping to replace them when the parts finally arrive. The weakest part of the kit is without doubt the roof - it is shipped in three pieces and held together with 25 mm wood screws, which immediately pulled out of the wood under its own weight. I was able to brace the roof with additional 1"x2" lumber on the underside. As for the finish - be aware that the white finish that comes on the wood is not sufficient for an outdoor playhouse (nor is it claimed to be). Think of it as a primer at best. I painted the parts with two coats of a good quality exterior acrylic latex paint before assembly. Even then, the wood has lots of sticky resin that will bleed through the paint. If that matters, you will need to use a stain blocker first before painting. Actual assembly (not counting the painting) took about 6 hours. Due to the warping of parts, I added a few dozen additional screws to the corners to hold the exterior panels flat (being sure to predrill before driving the screws). The whole assembled kit fits on a 4'x8' sheet of pressure-treated plywood, and this will help the bottom dry more quickly after a rain. It is just light enough (about 80 pounds) for two people to lift and move to a new location. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes, for the design if nothing else. Our granddaughter loves it! But I would have lots of caveats - don't expect very sturdy construction, and be prepared to deal with broken and/or fragile parts.</span>

The problem I have is that it’s pretty low quality. Lots of chipped pieces, pieces with no numbers on it. I even had to drill some holes because several pieces didn’t line up. Overall, I’m happy I made the purchase because the kids like it, but I wouldn’t buy from this company again. Too expensive for a low quality product.</span>

than expected as they mislabeled the height. Also it would be nice to have guide holes for all the screws. One window came broken. And we specifically wanted a wooden playhouse to minimize plastic and it came packed in styrofoam that stuck to the wood and spread little styrofoam bits all over our yard. This was very upsetting to us. Fairly easy to put together, even though the instructions were unclear at times.</span>

I have a very tall 5 year old, so the height of the house was super key for me. Shipping was extremely fast and well packaged. This thing is heavy! Solid wood with a 5 year warranty, you know you are getting something that is made to last. We painted the door and windows and added some of our own touches to it. <span itemprop="description">My daughter loves her new play house! The reason for only 4 stars is that more than one piece of the wood is completely cracked. Not like ‘natural cracks’ full blown sharp splits.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The house is super cute. That being said the finish on the paint isn’t high quality you can see the wood grain through the finish on the paint. We put another coat of white paint on and that did the trick as far as coverage. Also some of our boards were cracked. The size of the house is great and has been a lot of fun for our daughter. <span itemprop="description">I would give it 5 stars is some of the wood pieces weren’t chipped upon arrival and if the paint was a thicker coat it’s more like a whitewash of paint. Still a beautiful house my child loves 4.5 stars</span>
