He has long been a fan of dinosaurs generally and recently has been getting into Jurassic World. And so he was definitely excited to receive this toy - it&rsquo;s well packaged with good movie graphics. He set about playing with it right away and introducing it to his other dinosaurs. He was having a lot of fun with it and the toy is well made and sturdy, with good head movements and roaring sounds. Then we read in the instructions that there is a chip in the dinosaur that can be scanned (once you download an app) and which makes the toy interactive. So we did the download and scan. The app is only &ldquo;ok&rdquo;. It doesn&rsquo;t require use of the toy and as a standalone app, its games are not really interesting. So it was frustrating for a mediocre app to distract him from a good toy and the adventure he started. I always find that the quality of Mattel's Jurassic World dinosaurs is much higher than any of the other plastic dinosaur toys we own. I like the detail of the design, and I found the coloring on the Diabloceratops especially unique. These dinosaurs really hold the attention of my son, and he will play a variety of extended imaginary games with them. The Diabloceratops has some nice movement abilities with it's legs and you can move it's head back and forth with a button/switch and make it roar. I like the size of the Diabloceratops. It's a good size for play without being too big and bulky. We also recently tried out the app that the Diabloceratops and certain other Jurassic World dinosaurs can be scanned into, and my son really enjoyed that addition. It provided some fun educational information about the dinosaur! As soon as we opened the Duabloceratops he ran to get a couple other of his Jurassic World dinos. This one makes noise and turns his head side to side when doing so. As with the others you can also access the app that i think a lot of people are probably sleeping on, which is unfortunate! I definitely think the app is a major highlight though admittedly my 4yr old is more into the physical toy still. I think that will evolve as he grows, though. Recently I had the pleasure of entertaining both my 2yr old and 10 yr old grandsons, and this JURASSIC WORLD WILD ROAR Diabloceratops toy was a hit with them both. The 2yr old loved the realistic roaring sound (that made him run the first time he heard it) and soon figured out that he could trigger the sound just by moving the head to the side.
