They loved the sounds, which sound very realistic. Granted, I have no idea what a real dinosaur sounded like, but this sounds like the movie versions anyway. We have a few of the Jurassic Park/World dinosaur toys already and this fits right in with the rest of them.
The main play feature is that it has sound effects when you use the tail to move the head around. She is very pleased with playing with this dino and the other one she got at the same time, but she had some notes. She wishes there was a volume or on/off switch because sometimes she doesn't want the noise. The sculpting and the paint are really good. She does wish there was a little more articulation, particularly in the legs, and in the mouth so it looks like they're roaring when they're making the noise.
Those quibbles aside, this is a fun dinosaur and we are happy to add it to our at-home island theme park. Triceratops is her favorite and this one is different enough to be special. Thanks, Mattel.</span>
