My 5yr old has spent hours driving him around and having him attack usand the furniture. I like that the dinosaur is rechargeable though the remote requires batteries. The dinosaur moves fast and can change direction on a dime which is really impressive. He also can be made to roar and the sound on him is loud and scary. Our favorite feature is the attack button. When you push it, he roars and speeds about 4ft forward. This is all the fun of a remote control car with the added feature of dinosaur roars and chomps. This has been a hit with my 5yr old son. My son absolutely loves it! The dinosaur itself you charge with a cord that's included. Once you put batteries in the controller and flip the switch to on on the dinosaur he's good to go! My son thinks it's the coolest thing! He can make the dinosaur go forward, backward, and around in circles in both directions using the remote. You can also make it charge forward while roaring or just roar without moving. He definitely likes to make it come after his other dinos. The only downside is the dinosaur won't really move on carpet. It's got little wheels on the bottom that make it move which are hard to move across carpet. This Dino one exceeded my wildest expectations. It was easy to put together. It did require that the legs be snapped in place. It also needed batteries but not a problem at all. The syncing process also went very smoothly and my son was able to use within 5 minutes of unboxing. This toy kept his interest for a long time due to the various options. You can drive it around like a car, can make it speed or make it roar! He seems overall pleased with this toy. It's a pretty simple design. It's ready to play with right out of the package. There is a decent sized button on the back of the head that you push to make it roar. He enjoys hitting it often and especially when I'm not expecting it, lol. It's a small toy which is great because my son likes to carry a variety of toys in random bags. He has quickly added this to his bags. He is just getting into remote control toys, and this was a great starter remote control toy. This remote control dinosaur stands about ten inches tall and fifteen and a half inches from nose to tail. My child loves the fast attack mode. This is where the remote-control dinosaur is going at the normal pace, then you push the fast attack mode button and the RC increases speed and roars. My child giggles every time they use this feature. It is quite surprising the first time you see it. My child loves to use this feature around their siblings and unfortunately the dog. This remote-controlled T. Rex is able to go in all directions. I like how the controller does not have knobs that stick up from the controller. I find that these break easily with littles. The controller seems very sturdy. There are only four buttons, so it is not too complicated. I also like that there is a little bump on the base of the dinosaur to store the controller. It is very disappointing to lose the controller. We did have to charge the dinosaur before using but didn&rsquo;t take more than 20 minutes. They enjoy that the T. rex can make noises, turn, and go back and forth. They especially like the charge feature where the T. rex speeds fast across the floor. She is a huge Jurassic World fan and has loved dinosaurs since she was a toddler. I like that this remote controlled toy looks more like a cute baby dinosaur version as opposed to the larger, more scarier versions that I have seen advertised so my daughter can play together with her younger family and friends with this toy. The package included the dinosaur, the remote, an instruction manual and a usb charging cable. I did need a small screwdriver and two AAA batteries for the remote control. The batteries do not come included with the toy but the actual remote dinosaur has a built in rechargeable battery. I did have to do a small amount of assembly with this toy but it was only snapping the two legs onto the base and the dinosaurs body. I also had to pair the remote but it was easy to do and clearly explained in the manual that comes included in the package. This toy is so fun to play with. I played with it for several minutes before presenting it to my daughter. Our favorite features were the roaring and the frenzy mode. In frenzy mode, the dinosaur will dash around quickly while spinning and making noises. I like that the remote snaps onto the base when not in use so we can keep both pieces together and eliminate having a lost remote controller. The controller is easy to use, the wheels glide well, and the sound effects are cool. I like that whole unit doesn't require batteries, because rechargeable is always preferable. The fact that the controller docks at the dino's feet is also great because then the whole toy stays together. (Can't tell you how many times we've lost the controller to an rc toy!) I do wish there was the ability to adjust the volume, because sometimes the sounds effects can feel loud. It was also kind of hard to get out of the package because the cardboard got stuck. It was easy to open with just a few quick cuts. The only assembly required was attaching the legs with was very simple. The remote takes batteries, but the dinosaur is rechargeable which is a great feature because this dino gets a lot of use! The remote has forward, backward, left, and right, as well as an alignment button in case it happens to be steering a little off - which is another great bonus. We've used him on carpet as well as hardwood and my kids from 2-10 all have no trouble with the controls. The remote also has a button for the roar, as well as one that makes him roar and zoom forward, which is my favorite!
