The cable is a little over three feet long, and the headband folds on each side for travel. There's a little bit of resistance when folding, so the headphones don't just fold while you're holding them, if that makes sense. The age range is for 2-8 years old, which I can confirm is a correct range. A two year old can wear it on the smallest setting, and it gradually adjusts to an extra inch on each side for an eight year old. The plastic material is thick enough that I don't expect it to break easily. As far as the sound, it is very quiet (below 85 dB). It does block some noise, but don't expect full noise cancellation. They say on the box they are for ages 2-8 and they are rather small on my 6 year old, I think they&rsquo;re better suited for ages 1-4. However my 6 year old did like them and she said the sound quality was really good!
