I expected your average run of the mill mask and not to be very good. When it turned up I was impressed off the bat with how well its made, then the more I got it opened the more excited I got, letalone my son. Once strapped on it hooks under your chin meaning that when you open your mouth the dinosaurs mouth follows causing the dinosaur to make noises, but the best part, it shoots water out of the mouth! Honestly such a cool toy! The one thing I will say is the chin strap was abit too far away for my very almost 4 year old making it abit difficult for him to open the mouth fully. We've have a lot of fun chasing each other and shooting water and it make for some fun photos It's a strudy hard plastic.The side frills fold in and out. It makes a variety of different sounds that fit the dino and are different than other dinos we have which is nice. It shoots water. It wasn't a ton of water which we all appreciated, just a sprizt. It has a little cup that fits under the chin and I was surprised by how long the water lasted before we needed to refill and the house wasn't soaking wet after we all had our fun. The fit and feel when wearing it leaves much to be desired though. It's a heavy mask and the plastic sits heavily on the cheeks. The chin strap, that is needed because when you open your mouth it opens the dinos mouth to shoot water, feels like it's too shallow, all of our chins keeps slipping out of it. We had a hard time getting a proper fit on all 4 of the family members who tried it and the kiddo it was bought for doesn't want to wear it himself because he says it hurts his face. It's also a bit loud in the wearers ears. The only reason I took off stars was because the water spray stopped working after an hour of playtime. They were so excited to receive this Dilophosaurus mask, and especially love that it makes noise and squirts water when you open the mouth! The detail on the mask is pretty incredible and the mask looks like very good quality. My kids love the frills that are adjustable/expandable so they can position them how they want. It has thick and strong rubber straps to adjust comfortably (and securely) to each of my kids&rsquo; heads &ndash; and also fits my husband&rsquo;s head, in case you&rsquo;re an adult wanting to role play :) The inside molding has padded rubber so it is also comfortable resting on my kids&rsquo; faces. The dino &ldquo;roar&rdquo; sounds are activated by opening the jaw ; the roars are loud and clear and sounds authentic (to the JW movies) &ndash; much to the delight of my kids. And the cherry on top is that they can &quot;spit venom&quot; (water) with this mask, just like a real Dilophosaurus! (It works with a little removeable cup in the bottom center of the jaw that you fill with water. To activate the &quot;spitting&quot; feature, just open the mouth in a quick motion.) She already has a couple of the other Jurassic World Dino masks so I knew she would love this one. This mask is unique because it has the adjustable frills, sounds, and shoots venom (water) from its mouth. It has a small water reservoir cup underneath the jaw that snaps in. It only holds a small amount of water but I was surprised how long it lasted. She ran around squirting the venom for over 10 minutes and it still had some water left in the cup. When the chin strap is worn, the mask will shoot a small stream of water and make a roaring sound every time she opens her mouth. The open eye holes are large enough that she can clearly see people and objects in her environment so I feel safer when she&rsquo;s playing. There is also a soft padding around the eyes and bridge of the nose for a more comfortable experience while wearing the mask. Both the chin strap and the head straps are adjusted so it will fit almost anyone. The straps are plastic. The details are amazing on this mask. We especially liked the colors, texture and ferocious looking teeth on this mask.
