They are always excited to add more Fisher Price Imaginext toys to their collection. This dinosaur toy with trap fit in well with their other Fisher Price Imaginext toys and play sets my child already has. When my child and I originally opened the toy, the first thing my child did was put it up to my face and make a roar sound. They are really into all sorts of dinosaurs and was very happy to have another one. This dinosaur came with a trap. I&rsquo;m not convinced that my child really gets what they&rsquo;re supposed to and how the trap is supposed to work. I tried to show them. But they just use it as a claw and to trap other Fisher Price Imaginext figures or animals or dinosaurs, etc. So, I would not recommend this toy for just the trap. This is an orange-ish dinosaur with yellow eyes. The eyes are cool because as you move the toy, the eye appear to follow you. The arms move at the shoulders and the legs move at the hips. The tail does not twist. She is a big fan of anything Dino and this Dino set just made her smile. From the time we gave it to her she has not put it down. The set comes with a Dino and Dino holder. The colors are vibrant and the toys look to be made with quality materials. Believe me when I say this toy has not been put down from the time she got it! We couldn&rsquo;t quite understand the purpose of the claw part but it was still fun. Would highly recommend getting another so there are more than one to play with. Both boys absolutely LOVED the dinosaur toy, but the accompanying lift did not interest them at all. The lift went up and down around the dinosaur, but did not attach or lift it. The Imaginext Jurassic World Atrociraptor &lsquo;Tiger&rsquo; has life-like eyes that seem to be marbled (not just plastic) and that added to the appeal for him. The legs are able to be positioned and moved as he wanted which he really enjoyed (he was able to have the dinosaur run and jump). However, he was disappointed that the mouth of the Atrociraptor did not open and close. And although the Atrociraptor&rsquo;s tail had a joint showing, he was not able to figure out how to get the tail to move, which was frustrating for him at times. He enjoyed the release mechanism of the restraint and was able to incorporate that into imaginary play with the Atrociraptor (he released the Atrociraptor on a city of his figurine people and they had to chase the dinosaur to catch him again). Our three year old mostly plays with just the dino and not the contraption to hold him back. Our six year old couldn&rsquo;t figure out what the contraption even was. I am going to be honest here, this toy reminds me an awful lot of a free toy you may get with a kids meal. He had only been introduced to tiny dinosaur toys from arcade prizes or kids birthday party favors so this was an absolute treat for him. We loved the holographic eyes that the dinosaur has and the actual size of the dinosaur is also perfect for his hands - not too big, not too small. The cage/trap is also a fun feature since it uses a mechanical function that is easy to operate. My son loves narrating how the red button works as it lifts up to free the dinosaur. Overall, I&rsquo;m really happy with this toy for its durability and simplicity.
