We have a cup with cold water and another with warm water. He loves changing all or part of the characters. Both of my boys have sensory processing disorder and this has been amazing for them, great water play toy! They have spent weeks playing with them. We put a towel out on the table and multiple small bowls of water with different temperatures and they play for hours! He fills the container that the toys came in with cold water and then dips them back and forth into the container and the bathtub to watch them change color. Held their interest. Had fun changing the colors. Even fingers could change them. My son got creative changing the colors as they battled. Then wash them off and start over. It fascinated him and kept his interest for hours and days. He played with it in the kitchen by using the sink for the water and experimented with sticking each toy in the freezer as well. He would also play with it in the bathroom and shower and would also use different containers for the water and freezing effect. He hasn't seen the Super Friends toys before and was solely used to the similar version of these toys where the paint comes off in hot water. This was a surprise for him as we tried both hot and cold water dips for each figuring watching their colors change between dips. We experimented with half dips as well and it was super interesting that the figures changed colors based on the dip and held the color.
