They both love dinosaurs and this was no exception! It looks really cool. The only downside is it doesn’t really ‘do’ anything so it lost their interest fairly quickly. The legs and arms move and that’s about it. My 4-year-old kept saying he wanted the mouth to move. I think just adding that would’ve held their interest for much longer. Overall, it’s a high quality, sturdy toy though.
Date published: 2021-10-11

Rated 3 out of 5 by Whimsy from Really adorable, but we wish it opened its mouth! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how adorable this T-rex is, and it does balance well because of the chunky feet. We have the small version too, and it matches that very well. However, it seems like the #1 reason a kid gets a T-rex toy might have been overlooked...roaring! What kid doesn't make their toy dinosaur roar and bite? Simply creating the ability for a large toy this size to open its mouth to do T-Rex-type things would have upped the repeat play value immensely, in my opinion. My 5 year old was a little sad that he couldn't open the mouth at all. Again, it's a very cute, non-scary dino toy, but I think it could be better with a hinged mouth or even a mold version with the mouth open already, to create more options for creative dino play. I'd probably recommend the more elaborate Camp Cretaceous T-Rex developed for older kids in place of this one for a young dino enthusiast for that reason.
Date published: 2021-10-10

Rated 4 out of 5 by stippie84 from Good for younger kids [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this T. He was excited to receive the Imaginext Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous T. Rex XL. He couldn't wait to get it out of the packaging! I will say I loved how easily it was to get this toy out of its packaging. I hate toys that make you have to take at least 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get it out. This T Rex was easy to get out and took less than 20 seconds. The figure itself is made of hard plastic and is very sturdy and well made. The arms and legs move, and the tip of the tail moves a little. You have to move them yourself as this isn't an electric toy. My son played with this toy for about 5 minutes pretending to attack his dad, myself, and the dog. After about 5 minutes, he put the toy down and forgot about it. He hasn't asked for it since. Perhaps he may be just a tad too old for it or maybe he needs to be into dinosaurs more. Whatever the case, this just wasn't that fun of a toy for him, but it is very well made! I would probably recommend this dinosaur toy to children between the ages of 2 - 5 who are more into dinosaurs.
Date published: 2021-09-30

y_2025, m_5, d_22, h_5

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.42

cp_2, bvpage2n

co_hasreviews, tv_1, tr_23

loc_en_CA, sid_D4F4CAF3, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_toysrus-ca

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 7ms

reviews, product
