It took my kids attention more than an hour. The track is well done, good quality, bright, stable and sturdy. Because kids need to push the button hard, I can say that the track is very stable. My kid had much fun playing with Super Mario car and super fast track. My son (8yo) was able to put it together himself with the directions. It is compatible with all of the Hot Wheels Mario Kart racers! They both had fun creating different scenarios where the cars raced with each other. The set came with a fun Mario car. The waterfall/jump looks great. We had a few misfires with the kart either not making the jump or not doing the u-turn and making it back to the launcher, but not any more than happens with most similar tracks. First off, who doesn't love Mario?? The entire track was very easy to set up. All pieces are labeled and went together easily. It is a good sized track. It comes with one car so olay can begin immediately. My girls had the BEST time taking turns to hit the plunger to send Mario around the track. The return feature makes the track the coolest I have seen. While putting the track together I will have to say that the instructions were somewhat hard to follow, specifically trying to track down part A which was stamped up inside the piece making it difficult to find. The first comment that was made by my son was &quot;there is only one car&quot;. Although this is not a side by side racing track, apparently there was a hope for more than one character to choose from. It took him a couple of tries to get the car to launch and land on the other side of the track, but even the &quot;failed&quot; attempts were fun. He liked that the loop was broken and not a single piece. It made it &quot;cool&quot;. Even the younger siblings joined in playing and had fun launching Mario. The one detail that I liked about the track was that the car reset itself into position rather than having to be chased around the room like other car and track play sets. It was also nice that there was no need for batteries and required actual interaction with the toy as opposed to just watching the toy perform. One suggestion that I would make as a parent is that there would be of great benefit for this to come with some type of storage container as race tracks are one of the most difficult toys to store. An alternative would be to create the parts in a way that they could be easily taken apart so that they could be broken down back into the box they came in. If that redesign were to happen I would also suggest making the pieces of a stronger plastic as they come close to breaking when one attempts to take them apart. Overall this toy was a hit, however, it seemed to be a one hit wonder as the excitement of it wore off after the first day of playing. The jump in the track is a great play feature and my boys like to see how many times they can make the jump without missing. The best part about making the jump is the car resets itself into the launcher. The track was easy to assemble and the stickers were pretty easy to apply. The plastic seems pretty durable and should withstand extensive car launching. The wood-like details in some of the track pieces is a nice touch that enhances the look of this playset.
