He was playing with it over half of hour which is really long for him. The assembly is simple and takes around 15 minutes to put all parts together. Once the track is fully assembled it's doesn't take so much space but I didn't except it to be that tall. It's very stable while playing. It can be played in 3 ways, which is really cool, engaging and enjoyable. Outcomes: - get eaten and pooped out - hit a detour to refuel - conquer the beast and save friends Each time car zoom past, the T-Rex's eyes spin and arms shake until it finally collapses! There's storage for additional cars. This set includes 1 Hot Wheel car. Love the packaging it's eye-catching becouse of bright colours. Love fact that you don't need batteries, like in many toys these days. Definitely value for money. The set is compact and doesn&rsquo;t take up much space which was good since we didn&rsquo;t have a lot of space. This set has the ability to connect to other Hot Wheels tracks. This track kept my boys&rsquo; interest for a long time. They keep playing with this track. It was pretty simple to put together because it all snaps together and the boom is detailed. It did take a few minutes of adult work. It isn't huge and needs no batteries which is always a plus. It feels very sturdy too but not too heavy. We did have to use specific Hot Wheel cars because some of ours where too big or just don't manage to get through the whole spiral. It also takes a fair bit of power to launch the cars fast enough for them to get through, my kiddo uses his foot to launch them (because he usually can't get enough power with his hand) which I'm hoping doesn't break the launcher. Even i have to slam down more than I'd expect. It's neat that the eyes spin to different eyes and kiddo finds it hilarious when the car gets eaten and &quot;pooped&quot; out. I think its neat that it's got those 3 exit points so there's more variety. The forward movement of the dino eating the car if it goes out the front is neat. He just pushes back up so my kiddo can reset it on his own. The T-Rex Blaze Battle set is so fun! I love these sets that are geared toward younger kids, and don&rsquo;t have any small pieces or rubber bands on the launchers. This set has a lot of pieces, but they snap together easily and the multi-step instructions are easy to follow (kids will need adult assistance). This track is built to be sturdy - you can really slam down the launcher without fear of it breaking. The car included with the set works perfectly and makes it around the track every time. I was able to get several other cars to work as well but sometimes they do fly off the track. My kids think it&rsquo;s funny and just try another one. The best part is the different ways in which the car can come around the track - the lever at the top changes the dinosaurs mode so it can either go around the track, pop out the back end of the dino (a real crowd pleaser), or come around to the front and out of the fire station releasing the dinosaur to bend down and &ldquo;eat it&rdquo;. The dino eyes spin as your car drives through his mouth with bright yellow teeth, narrowly avoiding being chomped! Another great feature is that you can easily snap it on to other tracks (not included) to extend your opportunity for play. But this one was a little disappointing. Like most sets it&rsquo;s easy and quick to put together, looks great and is a quality built. This one has a couple minor flaws. First is the launcher, I don&rsquo;t know if I&rsquo;m doing it wrong but I find the &ldquo;smash&rdquo; launchers to be less reliable than the rubber band/push button style ones. If you hit it too hard the car can go flying off the track entirely, too light and it doesn&rsquo;t make it around the loop. This style also limits the cars that can be used. The second problem is when everything goes good and you knock the T-Rex down it flips the whole set on its face. Not a huge issue but it&rsquo;s taken a few tumbles off the table while playing with it. The box was easy to open due to the perforation on the back. You do have to assemble the track and apply a few stickers, but the instructions were easy to follow. The track comes with one Hot Wheels car, but I would recommend having at least one extra car on hand, making for extra game play options. I&rsquo;m not a fan of the launching system, slamming the &ldquo;button&rdquo; as hard as you can. My son gets frustrated if he doesn&rsquo;t hit it hard enough because then the car doesn&rsquo;t go anywhere, resulting in needed help or stepping on it with his foot. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. It comes with one Hot Wheels car, and it's compatible with all kinds of Hot Wheels cars. It's a medium-sized track, which is suitable for a small space area. On the other hand, it is simple to play by hitting the launcher and letting the car shoot. It has three paths, so it's always a surprise which path the car will go. The eyes on the T-rex spin, as does the Hot Wheels sign on the center. It does take some pressure to launch the car since it&rsquo;s just a matter of hitting the blue lever. For my child, it was really difficult to get the car to make it up the initial ramp, which frustrated him. He did enjoy watching others launch the cars, though. I would've liked there to have been a different mechanism that more reliability launched the cars. We couldn&rsquo;t figure out a pattern to what direction the cars would come out, which made it a little more fun than some of his other sets where it&rsquo;s just launch and relaunch over and over. The car that comes with it has a sharp transparent red body with gold windows. One of the things I appreciated about the sample car was that it gave us a chance to go through our box of Hot Wheels to see what other cars have similar bodies and so know what will maneuver best through the track. We had several cars like this one, so it gave us some choices during continuing play. A word of caution: I made the mistake of letting my 4-year-old find this box before I had a chance to set it up. The packaging is eye-catching, but the set-up is complex. There are over a dozen steps. It took me roughly 10-15 minutes to get it all put together and ensure it was working right. However, the pieces snapped together pretty cleanly, and assembling it was generally intuitive. The size of the track set is perfect. It&rsquo;s compact enough to fit on a side table and doesn&rsquo;t take much space on a shelf to store it, which meant we did not need to break it down like some other Hot Wheels track sets. Always great when you have an eager child excited to play. Once we had the T-Rex ready to go we were off to the races. The Blaze is simple to use, with a quick hit of the switch the car shoots out, only issue, it's hard to get it past the first turn all the time. As an adult I felt like I had to strike it a bit harder than I would expect to in order to get the car to whip around the track. Once we figured out the force we were able to get it around the track more often than not, and the dino did its thing. The eyes spin, and occasionally depending on the way the car goes the dino tips over like it's ready to eat a car. Always exciting and a great way to keep the user on their toes. It does take some force to hit the car launcher strongly enough to get the car around the track, but my preschooler was able to figure it out after a few tries. I like that the track also has a storyline where the dinosaur is trying to get the car. The way the track goes around the dinosaur is a very nice touch as well.
