It does break down for storage so that is good because it stands at over 2 and a half feet tall! When standing it has storage places for over 20 cars allowing easy access for cars you can easily grab and add to the fun. Comes with 1 car. The Hot Wheels Sky Crash Tower has multiple jump and crash zones including a mid air jump! It also has a motorized booster to really send cars flying up the track. Recommended for ages 5 to 10. <span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we opened the box, we are very happy about the minimal packaging - everything were placed in the box without unnecessary plastic wrapping materials and were all "stored" in the original box which can be opened from the back easily.
When we try to install the crash tower, most pieces were labeled with letters that can be matched and assembled together. However, a few pieces were without letters. Although we can tell from the instructions and can put them together, it might be a good idea to keep the system consistent by having letters on all pieces to avoid confusion.
On the instruction, it might be a good idea to first highlight the need of four D alkaline 1.5V batteries instead of mentioning it at the end since not all families have that ready at home. Also our first instinct to install batteries were to open from the back of the booster station, but it turned out to be on the front of the station. This is a good and reasonable design, so that we don't need to flip the whole tower to replace batteries.
We tried several different Hot Wheels on the tower, and the booster was extremely powerful to push all the cars up and made rounds. It was actually more powerful than we expected, so I feel there should be some safety warnings for the younger kids so that they know to keep their hands and eyes away from the tower during the run since it could boost up pretty fast.
Overall, my son loves it, and he wants to give 5 stars for the product because he could play with his other hot wheel collections. We actually had a game together to test out all other cars, scored them one by one, recorded their speed and the number of rounds they each made, and rank them by the final score. It feels like a mini derby car race. We also tried to put two cars on the track together and see if one could catch up the other. It was a fun product with a reasonable price (on Target) so we really recommend it. Thank you very much for allowing us the opportunity to play with it!</span>

The age is 5-10 and I think it is very hard for a 5 year old to put the set together. my kid who is 7 year old has fun playing it. The instructions are easy to follow. The only negative part as follows: it takes 4 D batteries and not all hot wheels cars fit. I would say overall it has its fun factor since the whole purpose is good, kids waiting for their favorite cars to crash. My kid enjoyed playing with the set. Few drawbacks makes this a 4 star instead of 5.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received the Hot Wheels Sky Crash Tower Trackset for my 8 y/o her first impression on seeing the box was WOW!! We took out all the pieces and she was able to put it together herself but needed my help just to make sure it “clicked” She loves building her own toys so this was a plus. We put the batteries in and started it up with the car it comes with, she was amazed how fast it went and that it jumps up with no track being there. The parking garage on the sides held all her cars. She needed help to collapse it down to put away, really like that you don’t have to collapse the whole tracks down just take off the black box and attach it to the back. Its a little heavy for her to carry but when she tried it was very sturdy no tracks fell apart and no cars fell out the garage. Win! The only thing she wished was that it least came with 2 cars so she can have them race each other and do the jump crash. We do have other Hot Wheels but they were too heavy that wouldn’t work with the trackless jump or too light and was unable to complete the track.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Wheels Sky Crash Tower is a very thrilling toy! Watching the car be thrust upward to the top of the loop, whirl around the track, jump across openings, and glide onto the bottom of the track to begin the whole process over delighted everyone in our household, from youngest to oldest.
First of all, we had the fun of assembling it. It was not too difficult and letting the kids be part of the process was a useful experience. There is a step by step guide and many pieces have letters to identify them. My kids like toys where many little parts fit together in a certain way to produce the final result and so we are used to construction manuals and step-by-step assembly projects. Although we knew the toy was sizeable, we were impressed with the height of the track when we had finished. We had to make a special trip to the store to get D batteries, as that is not a size we normally use, but that was about the biggest hassle of the assembly.
We have a collection of small cars that we were hoping to be able to use with this trackset
(a variety of vintage ones that were my husband's when he was a boy, and more modern ones that my kids have acquired). Surprisingly, out of about 100 vehicles, only 5 of them have the right shape, size, or weight to complete all of the jumps and turns. But testing them all was part of the fun and we were interested in figuring out why some cars worked and others did not. Of course, the car that comes with the set goes the fastest and smoothest. Occasionally, even the cars that work well with the track go flying off, but, in our opinion, that is part of the fun! The car that comes with the set made it around the whole loop 21 times in a row for us before "crashing".
My kids liked using the vertical slots that march up the side of the blue support pieces to display and store different little cars and trucks. We have the space to leave it set up for the time being and I have seen the kids return to play with it over and over. We have not disassembled it yet, so I can not speak to that process. As a parent, I am always happy to see that a toy holds my kids' interest and this trackset does! We have not had to replace the batteries yet and we have had many hours of fun.
All in all, this is a super fun toy! My kids helped me think of things to write in the review, and all four of them insisted that it deserved 5 stars! My husband and I agree, especially since their helping with the assembly and then their testing of other cars in our collection to find ones with the right features to maneuver the jumps and turns were actually somewhat educational, and we all discussed concepts like friction and aerodynamics and mass and momentum!</span>
