<span itemprop="description">As other reviews have stated, the set only works consistently with the car it comes with. We bought this for Christmas for my kids and purchased several other Hot Wheels cars to go with it. My kids also have an assortment of other Hot Wheels cars we already owned. The only car that consistently goes around the track is the one that came with it. One of the Hot Wheels cars I bought works for maybe a lap or two before it flies off. The others fly off immediately. None of the cars we already owned work. Some get ejected immediately, others make it about 50% of the way around before they fly off. These are all sports cars, not trucks or vans. Ironically, the one we owned that does work best is a Matchbox mail truck. I understand that some heavier/non-Mattel cars might not work, but for almost no Hot Wheels brand cars to work is ludicrous. I saw a response from Mattel to another review saying "Part of the fun is figuring out which cars work best with the race set" and that it may take trial and error to find cars that go around the track completely. Really? I paid for a Hot Wheels track set, and it's not unrealistic to expect that most Hot Wheels cars will work with it. The set clearly wasn't designed/tested well - or, it's just a ploy to get people to buy more cars to find ones that work. Which any Hot Wheels set is by default, but if the set only works with certain cars by design, that should be clear when people are buying it and the cars that work with that set should be clearly identified. Not recommended at all.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My daughter got this for Christmas and it’s a hit except for one thing. It’s been said before but bears repeating. The only car that works is the one that came with. We bought other 1:64 sports cars to go with and they won’t work. Specifically I bought the Fast & Furious Set. Even the Supra won’t work right. At best it will work 2-3 times and then it gets flipped off the launch.
Gotta be honest, the looks of the car that came with make me think the designers ran into this same issue in development and came up with a car specially made to work every time. It’s slightly wider than other cars, definitely flatter front to back, the balance/weight is very centralized, and it’s slightly lighter than other cars.
That’s a lot of “coincidental” things that go into this car working every time. Just seems suspicious when you actually look at all of it together. Like others have said though. I would settle for a list of others cars that are guaranteed to work. If not, I would like a refund for a product that does not work as advertised or suggested.</span>

<span itemprop="description">As stated by many others, this track only works well the included car. Mattel continues to state the track is compatible with 1:64 cars. It is not. The car included is shorter, has a lower profile than other cars and is lighter weight. The tires on the included car are slightly thinner and roll more smoothly than other cars. We have found a few others that will make one
rotation but then falls off. Another issue, batteries with les than brand new power also effect the performance. My intent was to return this track. However, once it is put together you cannot take it apart without damaging it. Another major design flaw!
Having read reviews that go back as far as 2019 saying the same thing, I would think Mattel would have either produced more compatible cars or taken this off the market. Instead, Mattel continues to respond with the same useless answer to the problem. This is a flawed product! Unsuspecting consumers continue to buy it, complain to Mattel, get the same answer and no satisfaction. Do not fall victim to Mattel’s money making scheme.</span>

I have spent a large amount of time researching and it appears that only select "track stars cars" with orange wheels will order with this track. Unfortunately, they are incredibly difficult to find. It is not very well thought out to provide only one car that works and the majority of hot wheels brand cars do not work with this track.</span>

<span itemprop="description">My twins got this for Christmas and we have close to 100 cars and maybe a handful of them actually work. It has also damaged a bunch of them twisting the axles when the fell to the ground. I highly recommend not using it on tile or hardwood floors because when the cars don’t make it through the loop they fall off and bend. It is fun? Yes but after you try 20 cars it’s gets old real quick. And we have also tried the orange wheel track builder cars that don’t even work on it. This track needs re-tooling.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The track works while new cars are placed to ride; however, once cars fall out of the track (which happens often), the slightest damage to the wheels makes the cars unusable for the track. It’s a bad track, do not recommend.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Bought this for christmas. After a few loops it destroyed the axels of several newly bought cars. The booklet says "not for use with some hot wheels". It should be statet which cars can and can not be used with this tower. Now it's not even working with the car from its box.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Got this from a friend as a gift for our daughter, after the frustrating assembly (label parts better please) we went to the store to get d-cell batteries. Ok we fire it up with a hot wheels laying around and it definitely was not compatible with this set. It was a Kia Stinger we tried. Well it didn't make the jump and shot back at me. So we tried the car that came with it, lighter and lower center of gravity. It made it around the track 3 times and then shot off the other side of the set... set it on the track again, let go and it binds on the corner leading into the booster causing it to go wonky, hit the jump and fly back at my face. So now I'm going to smash it to pieces so Noone else gets hurt especially my daughter. I believe the box is trying to say ages 5-10 maybe it's a series number I don't know but in reality it doesn't exactly specify a labeled age recommendation. Only definitive symbol says 0-3 with a line through it. Soooo 4 and up?</span>

<span itemprop="description">My don was do excited when he seen. Instructions were terrible, half my parts had no legible letters on them. Finally assembled and like everyone else on here. Only 1 car worked and it’s the one it came with. The entry ramp jars the cars around so bad because of the elevation change that they go into the booster crooked and flip over on the way out. The ones that do make it through flip over going into the loop at the top. After 15min the battery started to drain and once if started the booster didn’t have enough power to work with the 1 car it came with. This is the year 2021. We have self driving cars but making the hot wheels booster plug into the wall with a speed control dial on it would just be too hi-tech to ask for wouldn’t it? So many complaints about the same thing, why do you even still sell this thing? It is a terrible product</span>
