You can put your fingers in the little rubber shoes and use them on the small skateboard to make jumps and trick moves. It is completely a separate toy. My 8 year old was very disappointed and only played with it for a few minutes before leaving it and not returning to it. It also didn't holdthe attention of my 6 or 4 year olds, all of whom love HotWheels. You have to move the skateboard with your fingers, and the &quot;tricks&quot; don't really do much or work right. This is a cool fingerboard set that requires really no skill. The shoes attach to the skateboard so you can do Ollies and grind the aquarium skatepark with ease! This toy is a lot of fun, and something totally different for the Hot Wheels range. I like that this is backed by Tony Hawk, and has some fun features like graffiti stickers, ramps, and neat artwork. If your kiddo is into skateboarding and likes mini sets, then this is the one for you. It&rsquo;s easy to put together, and the perfect toy to take on the go. You can even store the board the shoes on to a little platform on the ramp. She found the finger skateboard entertaining, more so than the ramp aquarium. The piranha didn&rsquo;t consistently pop up and it needed a lot of pressure to make it happen when it did. She ended up just playing with the skateboard and putting one of her dolls into the shoes to make her skate. Perhaps being a Tony Hawk product line, it could come with a skate boarding figure instead of using your fingers. White the skateboard is well build the rest of the parts are cheap and don&rsquo;t stay together really well. My 6 and 8 years olds played with it for a few minutes and lost interest, they wanted to add water to the tank. To top it off it is an aquarium theme - which they are obsessed with. Everything is ready to go out of the package which is nice for quick play. My 5 year old daughter liked using the little finger shoes to grip the skateboard while my 7 year old son liked to just use his fingers. It takes a little practice to figure out how much pressure to use to control the skateboard and not move the play set. The set is so bright and colorful and the skateboard is a very fun design. While my kids were initially hooked right away, they didn't play with it for that long of a period of time. My son has gone back to it several times to &quot;work on his tricks&quot; though.
