It is also noisy when in use. Having said that, my four year old loves it. He has used it near daily since it arrived. There is a useful diagram on the back of the instructions on how to take it apart to make it smaller to store it. We have yet to actually take it apart to see how that actually is but I'm hopeful that it will be a lot smaller. As for the noise, I think it is right on par with other track sets that do make noise. We had company over who is not use to the noisy life of a small child and they were bothered by the amount of noise the track made while being used. I have bought many tracks for him, and I can honestly say I have thrown them away due to not being able to put them together, either getting the track pieces to match up or just the general setup was horrible. This track was WONDERFUL putting together! All the pieces were labeled and you just snap the matching numbers together. It took about 20 minutes or so to put together. There is a track for both a car and a monster truck. The dinosaur roars and comes out about every other time the cars race up the track. To put it back in, you just push the lava back down into the volcano. My son loves the stunt part since you have to hit the lever for it to shoot the car out. It also has a storage area in the back for the cars/trucks when not in use and the orange ramp opens up to keep the smaller stunt props in there as well. All the pieces are there when you want to play instead of having to find them in the bottom of the toy box. It has lights and sounds and a T-rex that pops out. It comes with 1 Monster Truck, 1 Race Car, 2 Mud Cars, and 3 Red Barrels. You can race both the Monster Truck and Race Car at the same time or one at a time. There is Car storage in the back of the Volcano for easy clean up. The Red Mound in the middle of the arena lifts up for additional storage. The Arena stands are more Monster Truck parking as well. This Monster Truck T-rex Volcano Arena was very easy to put together and assemble. It features a stunt Arena with a curved ramp, a launch ramp to the T-rex's mouth for a Dino Battle, and a working bell in addition to the 2 curved loop stunt tracks! We have all had fun with this one! While the push lever to launch the cars is quite loud it is still a lot of fun. It also features lights and sounds and music as well. This is a large and tall set up but rest assured it comes with instructions on how to set it up for storage - not as wide or bulky as it takes up less space. Overall, this is something we completely recommend as it's been days of fun! 10/10 would recommend. The volcano and the green part of the track are giant and can't be broken down at all so you need to have somewhere to store something big if you ever want to put it away. Took a little time to put together but the directions were very clear and I think it will be much faster to do next time. After messing with it a little I though it might be a little too complicated for my 4 year old to figure out but by day 2 he was playing VERY independently with it and he loves that there are so many different activities you can play with it. He likes launching the trucks on the track but he really loves flipping them on the yellow ramp and making the cars ding the bell from hitting the target. Mom and Dad like shooting the cars in the dino's mouth but he can't seem to hit the cars hard enough to do that yet. However, he does love &quot;being surprised&quot; by the dino when he comes out roaring. Even though he has his own already, he loved that the set came with a new monster truck and a car so that he could start playing right away. His favorite part are the loops and trying to avoid the lava, but even his younger sister loves the lights and sounds that come from the T. Rex. We have had a lot of fun with this play set , and it is easy to attach it to other Hot Wheel sets. It was a little cumbersome to build, but not bad. And it takes fine tuning to get the cars to run the full course. Once ready my son loved watching the cars race, but he is afraid of the dino that occasionally pops out and thus won't push the button himself. After about 20 minutes he moved on to playing with the two cars alone and disregarded the volcano arena. The toy is HUGE (even when packed for storage), which was clearly designed. Unfortunately it is a bit of a pain to get into storage mode (disconnecting some pieces and &quot;folding&quot; them just so), thus a young child cannot clean up or set up on their own. I also worry about it breaking as disassembling took a lot of force. They have since played with it for hours. They love racing the monster truck and car and always jump when the dinosaur pops out and gets the car. They love the little ramp feature in the front as well. The storage in the back and front of the toy is an added bonus so nothing goes missing. Track itself is very well built and sturdy too. Honestly one of the best toy tracks we seen in a very long time.
