Although we don't actually use it in the dark, my son likes the glow in the dark colors. I'm sire that would be fun to use/try in the dark but he's in an anti-dark phase right now. Our only complaint is the handle you're supposed to be able to push down to &quot;lock&quot; the things that actually launch the cars doesn't work for us. It doesn't seem to catch as it's supposed to, so the launchers just pop back out but not with enough force to then push the cars through the loop. But, it's easy enough to just push the launchers in by hand. My son enjoys the loop, but also just likes playing with the car and monster truck separately. It is compact but has the awesome loop. It&rsquo;s easy for the kids to &ldquo;load&rdquo; the cars and then just takes a push of a button to get them around the loop. Great for smaller hands! The kids love to measure how far the cars travel when they come out of the loop which leads to great math questions. The track is durable and is easily carried from room to room. The blue, green and yellow parts of the track glow in the dark and bright too. There is a launcher to send the car and truck through the loop side by side to landing the winner in the trophy cup at the end. The instructions also have a ruler printed in it to measure the distance launched. The launcher is easy to load and use for my 4 year old son. He also has extra monster trucks that fit as well and he been endless fun for him.
