It has been played with daily in his playroom without fail. He loves using the monster truck to smash the plastic red and yellow cars, but also his other hot wheels cars too! He lines them up in a row and jumps off the lift or does a running jump off a table to jump the entire line up. If you have a monster truck lover, I cannot recommend this toy enough. There are a lot of different ways to play with it, which was fun for my son. The auto flipper is fun to set off and the manual flipper never gets old. When the monster truck hits the target and makes the cars fall, its a celebration each time because of how fun it is. Hot Wheels knew what they were doing when they designed this for play. From packaging to playing its an easy 5/5 stars. The box was exciting, and opening it was a breeze. Had to place stickers, I hate that part I feel like I can never get them straight, but took maybe 10 minutes total to open and assemble. Once it waa put together, everyone in the family took turns trying to land the monster truck on the top landing. You don't need the other sets to enjoy it, but I'm sure it would make it even better. My ONLY downfall is when you have to set it back up after the crash, the tower is a little finicky to get it to latch together. My kids got a little frustrated trying to set it back up. They had so much fun driving cars and even balls at the tower and watching them flip up on top. My five year old especially liked lining up his hotwheels cars on the back blue car holders. He also like driving the cars on the dirt track. We love hot wheels in our house but this was a huge disappointment. It was really hard to make the truck hit the target. When we did push the truck hard enough to hit the target it rarely landed in the platform at the top of the stack of cars like it was supposed to. When it all triggered correctly (which only happens with lots of help) setting the stack of cars back up was impossible for my boys (8 and 5). My husband had to click it all back into place with lots of force and perfect alignment. The set up was super simple and it only took a few minutes before my son was enjoying it. It was fairly easy to put together and seems sturdy. My son loves flipping his monster trucks and launching them into the air. If the monster truck doesn&rsquo;t land with enough force or hit the correct spot the tower of cars does not fall over. In addition he has some trouble resetting the car stack because you have to make sure they click together in a certain order. I got this for my 3 1/2 yr old son; my almost 12 yr old daughter very quickly put it together for him. She said it was super easy to put together, and that was evident with how fast she got it built. The two of them played with the area for a bit before I could join them. We like how many different activities/ features there are; if we get bored with one, we move on to the next. My son has some trouble hitting monster truck on the trigger spot just right but that&rsquo;s likely due to his age as my daughter and I can do this just fine. The tower and car holder is fun, too. Once the tower is knocked down, it is easily snapped back into place - this is GREAT for my son! He loves the Demo Derby truck that comes with the toy and enjoys making it do flips up on to the tower to make it fall down. The set up and putting stickers on was super simple and quick to do. First, the packaging had such strong glue that none of the flaps wanted to pull open to get the toy out. And then there was a sheet of stickers. I personally hate applying the stickers, so that's a negative for me. Other than the stickers, though, set up was pretty easy and straight forward. The tower portion of the toy is finnicky a bit and the bottom two don't always want to connect. I'm imaging the kids may not have enough force to push it together themselves, as it needs to be lined up just right and pushed back together. This is the biggest reason I knocked a star off. I love when my kids can play independently (and they do too). I love that there are multiple ways to play and launch the monster truck.
