We worked together to follow the build instructions, then put a towel down before adding water. Both girls had a blast washing the cars for hours - and making a wet mess in the process. The water towers were easy to fill and it was nice that the water recycled back to the collection bin so we weren't having to constantly add more water. This would be fun wet or dry, but if you don't mind a little mess, then wet is the way to go.</span>

There is an option to add whatever or not depending on how messy you’d like to keep the play. It fits nicely on a tabletop without being too bulky or oversized. The one complaint I have is that the “color change” car really only changes in ICE COLD or very hot water. Otherwise this toy is a solid 10/10 for us. My kiddos will be playing with it for a long time.</span>

Easy set up but didn’t like how the pieces were just thrown in the box. We loved how the spinning tower brings the car up to the water tanks. That’s our favorite part but that’s also why there is only 2.5 star review. As soon as you spin the car to the top, the top slide comes apart. This happens every single time no matter how much pressure to close. In order to play with this, I’m going to need to glue it. The included hot wheels color shifter is great and we can’t wait to buy more. It’s like having 2 cars in one! Works great with the tanks and the slide down to the bottom. The tray at the bottom collects all the water from the tanks which is a huge plus. However, I wouldn’t call this a no spill play toy. The water will get on the tracks from the car and on the floor when the car slides down. It’s minimal but good to note so you don’t expect it to be no mess. I like how it connects to other city parts which is all sold separate. Once I get the piece glued I think my son will have a lot of fun playing with the set!</span>

Assembly wasn’t terrible, the two ramps weren’t labeled like they are in the instructions which was a bit annoying but was able to put together by process of elimination. Also, half the stickers are already in the place, the other half you have to put on. 12/10 would recommend putting together when your kids are not present, as their excitement definitely slowed down putting it together. Overall happy with it and the kids love it</span>

It’s cool that the car can be pushed up the first ramp by rotating the Mega Tower Carwash sign. Sometimes our car gets stuck between the second and third piece of the ramp, but it’s an easy fix with a little push. It goes down the second ramp really well. At first we thought our car didn’t change colors, but the cold water has to be ice water. Cool tap water wasn’t cold enough. The water drains from the top level onto the parked cars in the parking garage. So if you have more color change cars they can change too. The water collects in a bucket in the bottom. This set is a little messy, but that’s to be expected anytime you combine kids and water. It’s great that you can expand this set and hook it into other Hot Wheels City playsets.</span>
