The Yoshi's already seem to be a favorite, so this egg received a warm welcome. Knowing it was a Yoshi but not knowing which color was by far the most excitement I've seen from our 1st &amp; 2nd grade boys. Opening it wasn't super quick which actually added to the anticipation. They figured it out on their own and were happy to find an Orange Yoshi. When he received this yoshi egg with a surprise character inside, it was like a min Christmas moment all over again! He opened it to find that it was a character he already has but was not at all disappointed because he loves being able to &quot;battle&quot; the characters against their &quot;evil twin.&quot; I love that the price point is reasonable enough that this makes a great just to make you smile, or great job for a task well done treat. The car comes in a reusable yoshi dinosaur egg that adds to the creative fun during play. My 5 year old is in to doing things for himself, so he wanted to open the toy himself. Thankfully there is a perforated pull spot to help with getting the plastic sleeve off the egg, and he was successfully able to &quot;do it himself'. Because it is an egg, my son decided to throw it down to &ldquo;open&rdquo; the eggshell. It worked and did not break the egg nor the Yoshi cart in the egg. He thought this was fun to do, so he put it back together &amp; did it several more times. He next decided it would be fun to race the car off the counter top making it crash. The car took a beating right out of the box &amp; it is not noticeable. None of the coloring made scuff marks or came off at all. All of the photos I took &amp; included are after he played with it for the night. We next tried the car on a Hot Wheels track. I included a photo to show that the car does fit &amp; works on a Hot Wheels track just fine. Yoshi is too tall to fit in the launcher we have though. The only con was that It would have been more fun if the car were to have the pullback function with it. Overall, I would recommend this product to any fan of Mario Kart or Yoshi.
