My newly turned five year old son was very excited to see two of his favorite things, Mario and Hot Wheels, combined to create this toy. It took about twenty minutes to apply stickers and put it together, but that was with my “helper”, so I’m sure it actually takes a lot less time. My warning is that it does take up quite a bit of floor space. It took my son a little bit to figure out how much force to use to get the car to go around the loop, but other than that he enjoys trying to avoid Bowsers fists. I love that this toy doesn’t require batteries. I find Hot Wheels toys that do to be loud. This one just requires a wind up. The only drawback is that this set is clearly meant for two cars to race and it only comes with one. I’m sure other cars would work, but it’s not the same experience as using character cars. So, my advice is if you don’t have any already to grab an extra when you get this set.</span>

He already had a couple of the smaller Mario Kart Hot Wheel sets, so this was a very fun addition to the collection. When I first opened the box and looked at all the pieces and instructions it seemed a little overwhelming to put together, but it ended up being fairly easy and only took me about 10 minutes to put together. At first, we had some difficulty getting the cars to make it successfully around the full track and through the loop. It was a little frustrating at first, but my son stuck with it with no problem and we were able to get it working most of the time with just a little practice. He really enjoyed playing with this set, and I believe it is something he will continue to play with regularly. He loves Mario Kart and this is a super fun set for him to play hands on with!</span>
