I loves Mario Kart as a kid, and still love it now. This set is 100% for me, there are no kids here. It makes me happy to race live action Mario Kart cars.
The track is easy to set up, it is about as involved as other Hot Wheels sets with curved tracks. The motor is a little loud, but it isn't too bad. The track needs four D sized batteries, so make sure that you have those ready when the track arrives if you plan on playing with it right away.
The cars do tend to fly off of the track a little bit more than standard Hot Wheels do, possibly because the cars have characters riding them like they do in the video games. I recommend having the track in a play area that is away from breakables.</span>

He loves video games, and one of his very first games he played was Mario Kart. We set the track up after dinner, and he didn’t quit playing with it until he had to get ready for bed. It’s easy to set-up. Don’t let the many parts you see as soon as you open it defeat you. Once set-up, it took quite a few attempts to figure out how much pressure to put on the mushroom button to make the cars go. Once it goes, it’s pretty good about staying on track. But be careful. There are a few times it few off the track out of nowhere, and I really mean that it flew flew. So, make sure that everyone around the track is paying attention. A cool feature on this track are shell buttons you can press to try and knock the other car off of the track. My son really liked that part as he is a bit competitive. (I wonder where he got it from. *cough* Me. *cough*) He’s played with it every day since receiving it. Overall, it’s a fun toy that can keep the kids occupied for some time.</span>

The pieces are well made and snap together nicely. The toy is a lot of fun and the characters move around the track quickly. The only issue we had with it is that my 6 year old does not have the strength to push the buttons hard enough or fast enough to get the cars initiated. She ended up using her feet to get it moving. The spinning sound of the second launch is a little loud and the cars can fly off the track on occasion but not a lot and not enough to make the toy unenjoyable. Overall we really liked it and plan on getting more cars to switch out on it!</span>

I reached out via customer help on the website on Jan 1st and still have not received a reply. We paid too much money for the main track and its 2 extension play sets to have it sitting around with a broken part that I cant even buy a replacement for. Poor quality and customer service. I'm extremely disappointed.</span>

The biggest problem we have encountered is that only the heavier, metal cars work when both extension packs are added to the circuit. The lighter, plastic cars cannot make it around the smaller turn due to the additional distance traveled. He's really bummed about this and it's forcing us to look into buying more of the metal cars - not something we really wanted to do right after Christmas!!</span>

Imagine the look of excitement as my child opened this track because he really wanted the “Mario kart track” and then upon opening it learning one of the piece was broken so that look of excitement on Christmas morning shifts to sadness and disappointment.
Needless to say this is the first big hot wheels track I’ve purchased for him and I’m disappointed in the quality and shipping of a broken item. Definitely not something a kid wants to hear as they’re opening their new Christmas toy.</span>

<span itemprop="name">Cars don’t stay on track- frustrates kids</span>
<span itemprop="description">This was our “Santa” gift this year for our kids. While the track and cars look cool it is poorly engineered and becomes frustrating. The cars will not stay on the track for more than one lap. After the first lap they don’t have enough energy to make the loop and fall off the track. I got six different Mario Kart Hot Wheel racers and none of them can make It more than one lap. If you want to get a present for your kids that’s going to get them super excited then bring them to tears because it doesn’t work as advertised, this is the toy you should buy.
I was really looking forward to playing with this toy with my kids as we all love Mario Kart and Hot Wheels...I thought it was an absolutely winning combination, but was sorely disappointed.
(For the record I’ve fiddled with all the track parts, swapped out batteries, and tried to troubleshoot everything from reducing track friction to the geometrical shaping of the track...no joy).</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The track seems to work okay, however there were way too many stickers and the launcher motor is excessively noisy. I would hope with today's technological advances that a quieter motor would be a reasonable possibility.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was supposed to be the big Christmas gift for my two boys today. Instead of 2 long curves and 2 short curves we received 1 long curve and 3 short. We retro fitted a couple of other hot wheels track pieces but even still the whole track is wobbly and the cars fall off in other places where the connections are poor or unstable. For $80 this should have been a dream! Super disappointing.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for my twins and the piranha plant/thwomp expansion sets. It's a cool idea but it is executed so poorly. Have fun putting on 300 stickers while your child asks you if you're done yet. The karts don't stay on the track, the track falls apart constantly, it's made of cheap plastic that broke on the first day, and we were short one connection piece for the piranha plant (which is a useless wind up piece that spins in a circle)</span>

GHK15 is the Circuit Lite Track Set - no batteries required. GCP27 is the full Circuit Track Set - batteries required for the power booster, plus an extra car.

It works best with regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Bulky or too heavy cars, such as vans, trucks or buses won&rsquo;t work as well.
