It kind of feels like rubber jelly (without the mess!) and is incredibly flexible. My kids like to jiggle it in silly ways every now and again. The age range is 4+. That said, it would be good to know if it had any phthalates in it. The only warning on the package is about it being a choking hazard. Remember something similar when my kids were small, now for the grandkids. I can&rsquo;t keep up on all the characters they are into but I am told Goo Jit Zu is a popular one. Cute. He has stretched it at least 3 times its size and it bounces back to normal size. He says that he loves that it's so stretchy and squishy and doesn't break. It's a really durable toy. It will collect hair on it if you have pets, but you can easily rinse it away. I didn't realize these were so many other Goo Jit Zu characters. I loved a good stretch toy when I was younger so it brought up great memories. The boys can pull and tug on him and it creates some fun entertainment for them.
