My 6 year old was PUMPED to check this playset out. Set up was not difficult and the best part was the eggs hatched quickly so she wasn't waiting. I thought they could have taken a bit longer to drag it out, but she was thrilled. She hatched them all together in the pool. She played with the set for 30 minutes straight so that's a huge win. She found other toys to join in the pool party so that got a bit messy. Luckily it's just water. It came with a nursery set and 4 self hatching surprise eggs. The packaging was very sturdy. Easy for our granddaughter&nbsp; to unpackaged and put together .( With alittle adult supervision) The nursery set had a beautiful rainbow. Hatching of the eggs can been done 2 ways. The&nbsp; First way is using the pool you would fill the cloud with water then tip it&nbsp; so the water runs down the rainbow to fill the pool. The second way to hatch the egg is with the bottle. Fill the bottle with water and then&nbsp; place it in the soother and watch the egg grow. The toy is very well made.&nbsp; The set is very colourful and cheerful. Our granddaughter played with it for a couple of hrs. She did not hatch any eggs yet as she wants to hatch them we her best friend when she returns home. That gesture touched my heart .The eggs are being carefully watched on her dresser till that time . She is so excited she is counting down the days . I would not hesitate in recommending this toy . Ages 8, 5, and 2.5+ all took turns and played together with the baby animals and nursery set. The age recommended by the manufacturer is 3+. Although the entire playset is made of plastic, there are no batteries required which means eventually it can be potentially recycled. The packaging comes in mostly cardboard aside from the viewing portion of the box and egg holder. There are 4 tiny pacifiers on each egg that will fit into the mouths of the animals. The baby animals do not have other pieces that come off. There are a few small items for the nursery; a bottle, refrigerator, highchair, food, ladders, mobile, building blocks (one small unit) and bed sheet. With the tiny accessories, it can be difficult to keep all items accounted for. To hatch the eggs water is required. Eggs hatch instantly but are also wasted plastic, once hatched there is no use for them. As far as I am aware, they go to the trash as they have water and other chemicals to &quot;hatch&quot; the animals which makes them non-recyclable. The benefits of this nursery playset is what it offers. It encourages pretend play, problem solving, fine motor skills, team building skills, and sensory when water is involved. The drawbacks are how tiny the pieces are, adults cannot play in the nursery set well, nor can my nearly 3 year old place the pacifiers in the baby animals mouths which causes her frustration. With tiny pieces, comes missing pieces. Although, you can buy more hatchimal sets to go with the nursery set and more baby animals as replacements. It is also not accurate for animal education as some have mermaid tails or wings, and regardless of the type of animal it &quot;hatches&quot;. It's a cute set but not something I would spend my money on. My two girls were not disappointed. They were excited once the box showed up on the doorstep! The set up for the Hatchi-Nursey is very easy. The instructions are easy to follow as they are step but step pictures. My oldest who is 8 could easily put it together. Once it's all set up let the fun begin! There is this cloud on top that you fill with water, fill it to the line then pour it down the slide into the pool where you place the hatchimal eggs. The water will make the eggs start to hatch! (Swipe for video) My girls absolutely loved that part, they thought it was super cool! I do have to say it was neat and a fun surprise! It does come with other accessories that you can use to play with the hatched Hatchimals. We've had it for a couple of days now and they are still playing with it. My oldest says she gives it a 10 out of day and my youngest said she gives it a 100 gold stars! She immediately opened it and we put it together. Instructions were easy to follow and the toy did not take much assembly before she was able to play. We poured the water down the rainbow slide to hatch the eggs. The eggs immediately started to hatch. This was very cool and my daughter loved watching them pop out of the eggs all on their own. She thought they were all adorable and was excited to see the little soothers that came with each. All of the little accessories were fun to play with and this toy kept her entertained throughout the day, off and on. The only suggestion or criticism I have is that whats left over when the eggs hatch is just supposed to go in the garbage. Seems like such a waste and throwing more plastic in the garbage is never a good thing. Each little baby hatches it's self to reveal a surprise to which character you get. The theme is a nursery so you can take care, feed and nurture your cute babies. The little accessories are so cute there is a bed for nap time, mini fridge you can place the bottle in and open to feed your babies.
