When you turn on the light only the constellations are illuminated. If that's what you like or want then this is a great globe but I thought the entire globe would be lit up but this is not the case. It would have been nice to have two settings, one to see the constellations and another one to lit the whole globe up.</span>

This globe is a two in one. In the daylight it's an ordinary globe that shows you the world and at night when it's plugged in or it has batteries it automatically comes on and shows you LED lights all over the globe lighting up cities and showing the Stars and constellations.
The constellations and stars were my favorite and the colors change on their own which I found very unique. You could take the globe outside and look up in the sky and find that constellation. My son loved this led two in one globe.</span>
