Needless to say, it did not disappoint. Kiddo is still having a blast discovering its responses, songs etc.... His favorite feature is the &quot;dance party&quot;. Furby dances, sings... and the ears light up, change colors and move around in time with the different songs. The ears are very pretty, and are definitely the best new feature... it gives Furby a magical element. A difference I have noticed, is that this furby's beak does not move when it speaks and sings like the older versions do. My kiddo also expressed that he wished it came in &quot;boy&quot; colors---we have the purple one (that also has pink and blue highlights), and the only other color option is a coral pink. However, kiddo still really enjoys playing with this little floof, and it is neat that new interactions unlock the more he plays with it. Before I even had the chance to fully secure the battery compartment lid he was giving me instructions to follow on how to play with him. Unfortunately those instructions proved to be incorrect after this initial meet. This Furby is a far cry from Furby of old. He begins to speak English, tossing in very few Furbish words. It comes with set games/responses, which does give it a bit more to play with than the original Furby. Furby's dance party can get a little wild. If you're not careful he will wobble dance his way right off whatever surface you have him on. His fortune telling is cute, like a fuzzy little fortune cookie. The light show function is okay. It isn't as exciting as I thought it might be. The chill function is actually pretty nice. Simple meditation type things for kids. As for copycat, well who doesn't love when a toy repeats you in a silly voice? All said and done, Furby is adorable. If you go in as an older person with expectations of previous Furby you will be slightly disappointed. However as a toy for kids of this day I think Furby makes a fun addition. The new Furby is so adorable and fun to play with. This comes with 15 different accessories, has five voice activated modes and it&rsquo;s able to communicate with other Furby when they are together. And this does require four AA batteries, which are not included so make sure to grab some of those as well. My grand daughter is loving this and is exploring all it's features. It does take 4 AA batteries, which are not included. The box it comes in has a &quot;zipper&quot; feature on the side that you use to open the box. Then there is a flap that you open and then you pull out the Furby along with a colorful background that you can use to pretend play. The Furby is screwed to the cardboard, so you have to detach it to put in the batteries. She has been playing for hours with this Furby and so far her favorite features on the &quot;tell my fortune&quot; and the light show feature. The light show has Furby's ears light up while it plays songs. It also comes with a small bag of treats, a comb and beads. It has hundreds of sayings, jokes and songs. It loves pats on the head and also has a calming mode, that does deep breathing with your child. She also love the Copycat feature that the Furby will repeat what she says in a funny voice. There is so much with this toy, that I'm sure we will find more as she plays with it. The fur is very brightly colored, the eyes blink and the ears light up. It shivers and it's little feet move. She has been so engaged with this toy that it is now all she plays with. But, it can be turned off when you need some quiet time. I believe the older Furby's could not and would randomly say something which was kind of freaky! This is a great toy for children age 6 or above. My grand daughter is 6, so she is just loving this! I have nothing but pros right now for this toy. She has been playing with it for 2 days straight, learning all its features.
