I got him for my 2 year old and it is just an adorable toy. First, he is activated by touching your hand to his back. The Simba toy makes realistic stretches and motions and has ton of different sayings from the movie. If you put the grub on the stick in his mouth, he will simulate eating and talk. It really is a cute toy and perfect for a toddler. Even my 8 year old likes playing with him and petting him. Simba is the size of a large stuffed animal, and you need C batteries to operate. Simba moves realistically and responds to sounds which keeps our children engaged. Our oldest son, age 7, loves to get Simba to roar and he likes how real he looks when he moves. Our three year old son likes to talk to Simba, feed him his grub and also enjoys getting him to roar. Our youngest is completely infatuated with it! He is one month shy of two and loves taking Simba around everywhere he goes. It's really hard to find a toy that hits the mark with all three of my kids, but everyday they want to play with it. As a parent, I like the realistic movements and many different sayings. This toy is incredibly soft and my kids like to cuddle with it, taking it along to bed each night. It did not include the four &quot;C&quot; batteries which I wish they would have included. This is not a small toy, it measures 8.5x20x17.5! Getting it out of all the packaging was not hard, it has the usual ties and tape. It requires 4 C batteries that are not included. It also includes a full instruction booklet. And of course is his snack &quot;the grub on a stick&quot;. MIGHTY ROAR SIMBA is such a wonderful interactive toy and is never the same during any play session. He can move his head, eyes, ears, mouth, legs, &amp; tail and when not played with will close his eyes for nap time. The roaring antics are hilarious.
