They are easy for him to grip, and I love how the bristles clean all sides of his teeth. He loves to brush his teeth by himself, and the grip is chunky enough for him to securely hold it while wiggling it back and forth in his mouth. The suction cup on the bottom of the toothbrush is genius: it's a game-changer when I need a safe place to put the toothbrush while I'm picking my boy up. It allows the toothbrush to stand upright without having the bristles touch any surfaces. I was really excited to try this toothbrush for my daughter because I have had great success with Fridababy. Brushing my daughter's teeth has always been a struggle and I will do anything to make this chore easier. When I ordered this toothbrush I didn't realize that it was a set so I only used the toddler toothbrush. My daughter is almost two years old so we didn't try the first toothbrush. I wish that we would have discovered this set earlier so that I could have given the infant brush a try as well. I like the unique design of the toddler toothbrush and the bright yellow color is perfect. I appreciate that the bristles change color when it is time to replace the toothbrush. The tooth hugger design is a fantastic concept but it didn't work for my family. I gave it a couple of tries before I went back to my regular child size toothbrush. My biggest problem with this product is that it is extremely difficult for me to tell if I am using the toothbrush correctly. My daughter's teeth are so tiny and I can't tell if I have her teeth covered when I use this product. My second issue is that the bristles are very hard and rigid. I was worries this would be too small for her but it fits perfectly. It has a wide handle which is great for little hands to grip and a rubbery feel so it doesn't slip and fall on the floor like many other toothbrushes we have tries. I like that the brushes angle so she can get the top and sides of her teeth. This an awesome 2 step training toothbrush system. The bristles on one are thick and helped ease my baby's discomfort. I often put it in the fridge to give it an extra boost. The handle is very ergonomic for babies getting thier first few teeth and the stopper helps them not put it too far in thier mouth. The next step I love because it has given my toddler independence and I am not worried about her getting all of her teeth clean. The bristles on the second stage toothbrush hold up very well and the curved shape gives me confidence that she is cleaning her teeth but also helps her gain confidence since she is doing it herself. It is small enough for them to get in their mouths but has a wider base for him to easily grip. We like the fact that is has a suction cup at the base so we can allow it to air dry before putting away for the next use.
