The kids immediately drew to me as I peeled off the clear plastic and top cardboard layer. The base is wooden itself for the kids to build and play with the only draw back is it doesn&rsquo;t have the space to store all of the blocks when finished. The blocks are sturdy. My 5 year old loves building with them and my 18 month old liked playing with them as well. My 5 year old held the most interest for a long time. He built many things and said the colors are so cool. He loved every minute of t playing with them and still yet chooses them after over a week. Thank you Mattel! The Fisher-Price Wooden Stacking Blocks are great for this. These blocks are very durable and made of wood from well-managed forests. There are 64 pieces in this box. The bottom of the box can be used as a playboard for stacking. The pieces come in a couple of different sizes for imaginative play. They are well-made and heavy-duty. They come in bright colorful pieces like red, orange, blue, green, purple, and yellow. They are chunky and easy for littles to hold and stack. They are thick enough that they are stable once placed on top of each other. These blocks are fun for all ages. We love building as a family. My grandson loves knocking down his blocks once they are built. I love that there are no sharp edges and they have been rounded off. I wish that they came in a storage box. The playboard only holds one layer of blocks, so the other layer just sits on top and slides around. Next, the wooden blocks are lovely in their bright colors and grabbed my toddlers attention right away. The blocks were small enough for her hands to grasp, but heavy enough that she could stack them without fear of them toppling over because they were too light. The blocks are colorful and sturdy. There are plenty of blocks to build anything my little one can imagine. My daughter and I are very happy with this wooden block set. The blocks are solid, colorful, have rounded corners, and seem like they will last for years and years. I have a 2-year-old and an 8-year-old. They both enjoyed playing with them. My toddler enjoyed stacking and tumbling the blocks for about 15-20 minutes. They were easy for him to grip and stack. My 8-year-old has a longer attention span for play, so she enjoyed playing longer. She used the blocks to create a tunnel for his train. The best thing about these blocks is that they are versatile and open ended for play. We weren't sure why it came with the wood piece until we moved our play with the blocks to the carpet. The platform can be turned over and used as a hard and stable surface for building. We have a lot of hard floors, but the wood base allowed us to play with the blocks on our shag rug. The only con we found is that the wooden box can only store about half of the blocks depending on what size blocks you put on it. That is my only con with these blocks. the blocks are high quality, beautiful colors, and fun for all ages. I was thrilled with Fisher-Price Wooden Blocks Pyramid. This toy opens up so much imaginative play for my 18 month-old granddaughter. It lives up to the advertisement on the box that it encourages hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and cause/effect. For example, my granddaughter loves for me to stack and then she knocks over. And she actually, for the first time, stacked these blocks tall with great care. The blocks are colorful, different lengths, easy for little hands, and there are 64&hellip;plenty to build houses, skyscrapers and fences. When she is older, they will be perfect for learning patterns and the assorted sizes lend themselves to puzzle solving in the play tray. High quality paint although I did not see any information regarding paint safety. There are positive parts to this set and some not. I&rsquo;ll start with the not great points and end with the positive. First the packaging and container is not practical. It does come in a wooden base/box but it&rsquo;s shallow and only holds one layer of blocks. Once you take off the plastic the top layer of blocks slide off and do not stay. You will need to store them in a different container. That&rsquo;s not horrible but it would be nice to have them come in something that they could be stored in. The second and last thing that I am not a fan of is the limited shapes. They are hard shapes to really build anything with. Positive points, first and the most favorite improvement of the classic wooden block is the rounded edges. I really like how each block does not have the sharp pointed corners. The quality of the block and paint feels and looks great. They are the perfect size for him to grab and they are vibrant solid colors. It comes with a wooden &quot;stage&quot; to store and play with the blocks. I love that the blocks come in different sizes and colors. These are great to teach colors and counting for beginners or more advanced children could use to count with and solve math problems if need be.over all a durable , nice product. It came well packaged. Its a good learning material for colors and skills. The blocks come in different sizes giving your child more play options.
