It is the perfect size to fit into his arms to help him get used to holding something baby-like. I love that it has the breathing feature that also mimics the breathing of a real baby/animal. There are several options for soothing sounds that are very nice. Again, as I'm using it now to kind of help prepare him for the new baby I keep it on the sound of actual breathing, but the other sounds are great as well.
