But I didn't like that it is so bulky and it's hard to put on and remove the tray. I have broken a nail or two in the process.
New: The Fisher Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat with Toy Tray is a great alternative. I love that it folds up. Everything for Babies/kids take up so much space and makes clutter. This feature will come in handy when we go visit people who do not have small children or go on vacation. The snack tray is a awesome. I love things that are multifunctional. This comfy seat also have built in toys to keep my little guy entertained and it gets him to use his motor skills.
Now: The Bumbo permanently stays on the kitchen island for feeding only while The Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat goes where ever he goes.</span>

This is perfect if your baby can still fit inside since it has a limited space and it measures around 9.25 inches by 8 inches. So, if my baby grows more than 20 lbs then it’s gonna be a bit harder for her to get out. The desk is 9 inches high from the floor while the back part is 11.5 inches high. The base is 26 inches long by 20 inches wide. It has bright and lively colors that attract my child. It has washable soft fabric and I guess it’s better if handwashed only. It’s sturdy which is really nice.
I like the removable desk with toys on it. My baby loves sitting inside while watching TV. At least, I can now have time to cook and read my book. The toys stay in place though.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Just got the Fisher Price sit me up floor seat and my boy loves it, he can sit up almost by himself (simulated feeling) and play with his toys on the toy tray or snacks in the tray when toys are removed. This has overall enhanced his learning.
The fabric is very easy to clean (as we've had a few blowouts in it) and comes clean easily, no stains. Also it is very easy to remove to clean. Great product!</span>

She was liking to sit up lots but I wasn’t completely confident in her neck strength to try a bumbo chair. <span itemprop="description">Bought this as I liked how it has more support then Bumbo. My little one likes it as well. Like that the toys are removable and the tray. One downside is the leg holes are a little small, they should have made them bigger. My little one isn't big and I can't see him fitting this much longer (use from 4-6 months probably).</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the "original" Sit Me Up floor seat. It sold for under $30, which made it affordable to have as a grandparent home item as well as an easy travel item for the parents. It serves it purpose well, which is to have a younger one sit up with support while still being able to "feel the ground" underneath in order to properly balance and weight shift. It includes a rim that has attached toys, and toys can be added to it by using toy chain links. I would not buy this version at the current cost just because of the attached toy and tray.</span>

My son is 18 months old and he still sits in it. He is 25 lbs. The difference now is he climbs into it himself. Before I had to put him into it but make sure they can sit up by themselves first. I started sitting him in the chair before he can sit up on his own and his head was bobbing around in there so that wasn't good. So I put the chair away and brought it back out when he was ready for it.

Does the baby actually sit on the floor with the seat just as support? Or is it more of a sling type seat where the baby doesn't use much of their own effort to balance?

The seat pad is more of a sling style. The seat pad does provide some means of support therefore the child is not sitting directly on the floor.
