He was so exited to play with his new pirate friend. His compass lights up and has catchphrases in both English and Spanish. A cool little sword is included. The toy itself is pretty sturdy. This toy was bigger than I was expecting which is great for imaginative play. It was also one of the sturdiest toys while standing. The toy was very well made and felt hearty. It could take a beating from a child playing with it. I also thought the sound and light up medallion was a great addition to make it really fun for a child to have fun imaginative playing adventures. I loved that the figure had over 20 + phrases in both English and Spanish. Good size too, my 2 year old and 4 year old really enjoy it. Love that Santiago is bilingual and how his hat doesn&rsquo;t come off so I don&rsquo;t have frustrated kids trying to put it back on. My 4 year old immediately said &ldquo;he&rsquo;s speaking spanishhh&rdquo;. His medallion on his chest is a big button that lights up. Sturdy joints and parts. The removable sword fits in both hands easily and secured well by the grip. Bright colors and clear quality. The light up compass is great. Best feature. You press it to have 1 of 20+ sounds and phrases. It is both Spanish and English which is very cool. There are a number of accessory figures available to join in play. For the age group it seems appropriate but could add another detachable accessory. This was a great incetive for the kids behaving on the trip home. They were cranky from riding several hours in the car and kept them occupied while we were unloading the vehicle. Much to our surprise it kept them entertained while we unpacked as well. It was much larger in size than what I thought it would be and the kids loved pressing the button and having him &quot;talk&quot; to them. We vacationed at the beach and they loved getting a pirate. They played well together with it and also added a few other figurines as well as a boat they already had to make play more fun than it already was.
