The whole design is a mess. You HAVE to provide a time for a routine to start but you can&rsquo;t have more than one routine per day. Why do I have to set a time? Who&rsquo;s problem is that solving? The only options for sleeping and waking is setting a bedtime but the red light doesn&rsquo;t display for more than a couple of seconds making it valueless as a stay in bed light. Ditto for wake up, the light turns green for just a few seconds and then turns off. If your child isn&rsquo;t awake and facing the clock in those moments they&rsquo;ll never see it, so it&rsquo;s no good as a wake up light either. I thought this would make cleaning up, brushing his teeth and going to bed easier and maybe get him in the habit of a good routine (even though we have always had him on somewhat of a consistent routine since he was an infant). This definitely helped us with all of that, I just wish there were a few tweaks to the way that it works. For example, when it's time to go to bed you have to hit the button and the star turns red which means they shouldn't get out of bed and when it's okay to get up in the morning if you hit the button the star will be green. I wish the star would automatically be red or green and stay that color based on the times I have set for him to be in bed. He's not fully ready to potty train or set up other tasks just yet so I'm sure we'll use it for those when he is. Also, he likes being able to push the button when he completes a task, I just wonder how long that will last. That could just be my kid, though. He's pretty smart and knows that he doesn't have to brush his teeth or clean up no matter what this thing says. He would rather keep playing with his cars instead of push a button and get rewarded sometimes. Overall it works so far for him on most nights, though. Another con is that the speakers are way too loud even on the lowest setting. I use a different noise machine because of this. The colors are great and he really likes being able to choose which one and then you can set a timer on it up to and hour and a half which is perfect for us. He loves the star and cloud. The connectivity with the app has worked great and is fairly user friendly. You can fully customize your routines and turn the &quot;soother&quot; or &quot;nap&quot; setting on whenever. It wasn't too hard to install and the cord wrap is especially nice but know that it requires two more holes in the wall. Overall I'm glad we have this because I feel like the more we learn to use it the more we'll get out of it. At the moment the main focus is bedtime but I can see how easy it will be to assist my child in being more independent with a reward system like this cloud. It easily pairs with your phone with the free Smart Connect App. The app lets you control the device from your phone to customize your child&rsquo;s tasks and routines. The bright digit clock is a huge plus when I go into my daughters room, I can check the time and soon she&rsquo;ll be able to read time too. The lumalou will light up and show your child what task needs to be done, once the child is done with their task they can push the button on the remote and music plays to congratulate them. A soother and kids weekly planner all in one. I'll start by saying my soon to be 3 year old is obsessed with pushing the button to see what comes next, so much so I have to hide the button when we're done. We've been using it for wake up &amp; bedtime routines and he's always eager to start a routine, more than I had expected him to be honestly. Now for the features..You'll need an app, which is super easy to use. With the app you can set routines, and change settings such as dimming lights, lower music, selecting nature sounds instead of music, change light pattern etc. You can easily control it from you phone without having to disturb your little one. Routines and sleep trainer are easily set and customizable. The routines start and the task is illuminated with music(also customizable). Once each task is completed the star has a smiley face and sound which my son adores. For the sleep trainer a green star illuminates when its wake up time, and a red star when they should still be sleeping. When they push the button this star illuminates. For the soother you can choose which light color pattern you'd like, choose the time music and lights should go off(each can be played &amp; timed separately.) There is a preset soothing function as well if you're not into customizing.The soother function plays music, nature, and sound choices. You can easily start and stop the soother with the app or button. I think the Lumalou is an amazing product and I wished I had this with all my kids, the youngest of 5 is using it now! I would definitely recommend it, but there are a few things I wished were different.. First, the pairing button which helps connect to the app is located flush on the bottom. Somehow my kid found this button instantly and likes to push it all the time. I felt this button might have been better placed at the top so littler ones can't access it. As of right now the app says there can only be 1 routine a day, I'd prefer 2 so we could use it for AM &amp; PM..you can easily set/edit though, which is what I do. I wish there was a bed illumination task, I feel that would be better for the little ones who don't always want to settle(my kid). For the sleep trainer I would have liked to see something stay illuminated green/red throughout the time(time display maybe?)instead of having to push the button. Finally the music and lights, it'd be nice if you could add more/different music. My kid loves twinkle twinkle little star, it's not an option. As for the lights more customizable options would've been nice, there are 3 now. My youngest daughter has struggled with bedtime for a long time now. When we received the Lumalou, I was so impressed with how easy it was to set up right out of the box! The instruction packet was super simple to understand and even came with hanging templates to take the guess work out of hanging it. Once you download the app, there are several options to help create morning and bedtime routines. The only con I found was that you can only have one routine set for each day. My daughter loves to push the button to mark off her tasks. The Lumalou has helped my bedtime routine become more streamlined and less stressful for me. They look forward to it everyday. The timer is set for when they wake up to brush their teeth. The look for it to make noise to tell them what to do. It has great features such as routine checklist, music and lights and ok to wake notifications. I love that it can be used from infancy through toddlerhood. The only things I wish were different is that it has not option other than wall mount- I used a picture frame holder as a stand, as I didn&rsquo;t want to make holes in my wall.
