We come from a small town so we don't always see a lot of people with disabilities. This little people set has helped me talk to my young daughters about people they may see that are in wheelchairs. We have playground equipment for people with disabilities so this helps me talk to them about it too! He loves feeling the soft play rug, listening to the rattle of the sun as it spins and seeing all of the bright bold colors on this toy. He will be two next month and he is able to push the people onto the pegs of the elevator and swing with help. Once the people are in place he can push the swing and pull the elevator up and down by himself. The art smock is a fun addition however it is impossible for him to get on and I have to pull pretty hard to slip it over their heads. My seven year old also tried putting the smock on for him and could not get it on at all so I might make the slit in the back a bit longer. The little boy in the wheelchair made my daughter very curious so that became a learning experience for her. It is very colorful and nice to look at. My little guy enjoys moving the swing back and fourth. The rug on this set is very soft and its nice to have another sensory added to this type of toy. The weather wheel is very easy to spin and makes a soft rattle noise when spun. The red art easel spins very easy and can be spun very fast. The tabs that show a bunny and carrot pop up and down on each side and make a click noise when you push them. The elevator has been another item that my 3 year old has enjoyed pushing up and down. The watering can that comes with it doesn&rsquo;t stand very well and it doesn&rsquo;t look good onbthe back. I gave it 4 stars because although my kiddo does like playing with this toy it doesn't hold his attention for to long. As a parent I was excited to see an inclusive representation of a person in a wheel chair. Not many toys show figures with disabilities. This is a good thing for kids to see because disabilities are in our real world. It also give parents the option for teaching moments at home. Another reason it is great is because it makes kids feel included. A feature that was very fun, is all the details put in to this little school. Many of the activities available for the Little People to do in this school house were very thought out. The elevator and swing make it easy for the figure in a wheel chair to be included in any of the activities my child decides to imagine. This set held my daughters attention for many hours. She lit up, excited to get it opened. She will be 2 in February and the age limit was 1-5 yrs old. I think she was at a good age to test this toy. Originally she wasn&rsquo;t able to get the figures on the stubs, but after the first hour of watching me do it she was able to do it also. Same with the watering can and the hook it is hung on. It took her a few tries but once she got it to stay on the hook it was easy for her. She loved the swing, and learned quickly how to use it with and without the wheel chair. As she grows she will start to role play and interact with the people in the set better. I believe it is great quality and durable. Safe and easy for her to take care of and store away for the next time. The child who utilizes an assistance chair has accessibility features while the able bodied child plays along, much like so many care and school environments of modern day. This playset has caught up with 2024, and is representing the new age of inclusive play. Children get to see themselves in this set, in the best ways and I cannot praise the brand enough for getting it right. The children who come into my care truly light up when they see this playset. It's interactive and keeps them busy. It is big enough for a few kids to play with, but the narrow design allows for under the bed or beside the dresser storage. She loves the bright colors and all of the pieces she can twist, turn and spin! The yellow weather spinner at the top was a favorite with it's rattle sound. I loved the inclusiveness of the toy, featuring a boy in a wheelchair and a handycap accessible swing! Such a sweet touch. My daughter also loved the zipping noise of the elevator. My kids, ages 17 months and 4 years old both enjoy playing with this and have been playing non stop. The LP School Playset has a school set, with two levels, one with pretend market and learning station, and the second level has a garden. there is a lift between the levels. There is also a large swing in the outside area. The set comes with two children, a girl, and a boy on a wheelchair. The swing is wheelchair accessible, and I liked the attention to detail. I was able to discuss that with my 4 year old. In addition, there is a small apron, and a little watering can. Again, the attention to details is amazing. My children love to plat with it and I think this toy can serve a wide age range, which makes it versatile and long lasting. It fits well with the Little People sets that we already have, and they love that there are so many things to do at school! The art easel and smock is tons of fun, my 4 year old likes to draw alongside her Little friends. It's also fun to water the garden on a sunny day, or to let it rain. My 18 month old loves pushing the swing and pretending that the wheelchair is a car, and the 5 year old likes to make the elevator lift go up and down. I also appreciate that there is more of the outside playground area represented on the back of the school building, to encourage even more imaginative play.
