It&rsquo;s a simple design, but is very durable. It lights up, which delights my toddlers, and is easy enough for them to understand and play with. My 5 year old even wanted to play with it. He is two years old so we still try to not have him play with regular hot wheel cars due to the small parts. Which leads us to play with mostly oversized play cars. Nothing that really provided a fun hot wheels experience. This set is a great transition from infant toys to the big kid hot wheels . The cars are larger yet not too large to make them clunky. The cars are even fun and stylish. Playing with these with my son started bringing out my excitement to show him my hot wheels collection from when I was a kid. The lights and sounds are enough to keep it entertaining but not over the top that makes you go taking the batteries out to keep your sanity. Looking forward to attachments or other fun sets. My 3yr old step son loves playing with it and will push the button to launch them over and over for the lights and sounds. There&rsquo;s also a cute little fuel spot where they can pretend to get more gas. He really likes the little drive through underneath that has a flip up gate too. Overall he makes use of a lot of pretend play with this so we take it with us in the car in case we go somewhere where he needs to be occupied. Is a good toy for a single child as the top trigger launches both cars. We went outside to play with it and my son played with it in a variety of ways I never thought about. He would pick a color of car to win and would use his feet to road block. Or place cars differently or together on blue pads to launch and see how they flew or raced. Then he&rsquo;d press the launch button with different pressure or multiple taps. Loved the fill up station and garage area. Wish there was a place to store the cars since the launch handle makes it nice to take on the go. Also son brought up removing fill up station so he could drive thru like other side. The included cars are the perfect size for toddler hands. He caught on very fast in how to sit them on the track and press down to make them go! Squeals of joy let out as they race across the floor! The track resets itself so he can do everything independently. The race sounds are perfect for imitating the race track and not to loud for little ears. Built in pieces like the drive through garage and gas pump keep everything together.
