He even snuggled with it in his car seat. He would get the string from the attached drumstick tangled in the wheels but that didn't seem to bother him. He likes the noise it makes. Another mommy friend said this particular xylophone is better than the one she bought for her 1 year old. Good purchase!</span>

The tones are not annoying so it's much nicer than some of the electronic toys in that respect. Cons are that the paint scratches easily and the string is a little too short to comfortably use the correct end of the stick - my LO keeps holding the wrong end and can't get much sound from it that way.</span>

not sure as i shipped it to my grandson in calgary. im sure if you buy a piece of one inch wooden dowel from hardware store it will do the same trick. probably 8 inches long
