She’s progressively been engaging with Otter more and more and has even starting smiling at him. We like the ability to rock the Otter from side to side which helps get her to move her neck and lift up her torso. She enjoys touching the booklet with the different sounds and textures. Her favorite is the peek-a-boo mirror so she can stare at herself. For the newborn stage, this is a perfect toy for tummy time. Once she outgrows this toy we will likely end up using it as a stuffed animal since it’s so soft and looks quite cuddly.</span>

I love that it stands upright on its own even if she touches it during tummy time. It has multiple textures and a mirror. My daughter LOVES the book. Since there is a mirror you can prop the book up during tummy time. But she loves it during anytime especially because she can hold it and look at herself in the mirror. All the textures leave her entertained as she explores them with her mouth. There is a bell inside that makes a soft tinkling sound when it rocks. The sound is pleasant and not super loud. The rocking motion is a little jerky. The attached book has 4 pages with textures of satin, minky, and felt. It has an unbreakable mirror and a page that crinkles. One page also has ribbon tags that babies love. My toddler wasn't very interested in the otter- it isn't very exciting and it's not snuggly. The book does hold attention for longer. I think kids age 1 or less may be more interested.</span>

My grand daughter loves playing with this adorable otter!! The eyes on the otter are very infant / toddler safe as they are .felt and embroidered. It has multiple tactile fabrics on it, velour, terry, satin, felt and embroidery. The otter rocks very well and the bell inside has a very pleasant tone!! As it was tipped over it continues to rattle, the rocker portion allows the bell to ring in any position!! It is easy to upright and stays upright until knocked over again!! The book attaches to the otter is so cute!! It too includes many tactile fabric, crinkle noise, ribbons, puffy material, satin as well as a mirror!! The book is also detachable so the infant / child can play with it alone!! It has black and white pictures for a newborn as well as colorful photos for a toddler!! The book is easily detachable yet sturdy enough for tummy time to remain on the otter. My grand daughter, when first given this adorable otter played with it for about 1/2 hour, rocking it back and forth and playing peek a boo with the mirror. My only negative is I wish it was washable, the tag states that it is not. I recommend the otter from birth to toddler, my 5 year old grand daughter also enjoyed playing with it too!!</span>

I kept speaking to her pediatrician for new ways to help her reach that milestone. After much googling and still nothing seeming to keep her attention for long enough to keep her from fussing I saw this product! My daughter absolutely loves it. I'm happy to report that after only a few weeks she has been staying on her tummy for much longe and actually enjoying it! What a win as a mom. The toy is great to put on its own on a play mat for your little one. The little add on toy we also use as an attachment on her high chair for her to reach and grab. She loves the crinkle sound and seeing herself in the little mirror. I also loved that this toy didn't require any batteries. As a busy mom of 3 it's a relief to find a new favorite toy for her that is practical and doesn't have me running to cvs for new batteries every other week. I would recommend it to any parent like myself that is struggling with getting your little one to do tummy time or even just trying to keep your little one engaged for longer.</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The little otter has cute facial features but it does not rock well…falls over with the slightest touch. My 10 month old was not engaged at all. The little shell book has some positives. The crinkle pages, mirror, black and white section, and texture page to be exact but it did not keep her interested. Perhaps it’s because I found the muted colors uninteresting and almost faded looking as if the book had been left in the sun too long. To sum up, it’s a cute toy but I wouldn’t purchase it if shopping.</span>

She loves how it stays upright and makes a rattle type noise when it moves. It's very soft and is a quality made produce. The included book was enjoyed as well, especially since it included a mirror! The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my daughter may be a bit too old for this item. It would be a great toy for any baby learning to crawl!</span>
