We gave this one a try with some mixed results. First overall steering and ease of use is a definite bonus for this. It doesn&rsquo;t have a real tight turning radius, so plan it wide for turns. We had the opportunity to try it out on concrete, gravel and grass. It performed best on the concrete, the smoothest and flattest surface. It has good speed without the boost option being needed. However, on the gravel and definitely on the grass, it needs the boost function to travel at an enjoyable playing speed for our 10 year old. The charge didn&rsquo;t seem to last as long as a result. He absolutely loves how it was so quick to charge as he couldn't wait to play straight out of the box. He was very happy that it only took 30 min under quick charge and the remote already had batteries included so didn't need to ask dad for new set of batteries. The charger is USB and built in to the car so very convenient as long as you have a charger that accepts USB. The vehicle itself is 4x4 so he already decided to take it outdoors to the backyard to play on the grass and see how it performs. Apparently was so fun that even our young puppy dog was chasing it around the yard. The remote has a far range as he practically sat on the rocking chair we have in the patio and the car responded in the full yard. It's 2.4ghz so interference shouldn't be and issue with other RF devices. He loves that it's based on the movie and he can show his friends. It also has turbo mode on the remote which is a red button that makes the car drive extra fast which he loves to use often. The battery lasts at least a good 10 min of solid drive time with turbo boost and longer without. I was so surprised at how large this was. I love the look of this car. It looks quite sleek. But I did not like how flimsy the body of the car felt. The body of the car is a bit flimsy (like most RC cars), but underneath it is solid. Very durable. Bonus: it comes with the AA batteries needed for the remote. The car reacts to steering well and is fast especially with the boost button. The four wheel drive works ok but will stall on some terrain. Even though the shell feels flimsy, the base is sturdy and the car is fast. It's marked as 8+. The battery backup is great, and the car itself is rechargeable using USB. I used a phone charger to charge it. The controller takes two AA batteries as nd lasts pretty long. The car is 4x4, so the front and back wheels turn independently. The toy comes with batteries so all you do is flip the on button, and it is ready to go. Once you flip it on, the remote is a simple trigger. You push in and it move forward and you push out and it&rsquo;s reverse. There is a wheel type that used for turning and maneuver. The car react well to a light touch which takes a while to get used to when trying to manuver at high speed. An 8 year old barely can keep up with the speed and is still learning the controls and sensing how the best to maneuver. You have to be careful to not hold up the car from the frame becuase it beds and feels like it will snap off. This was just felt when pulling the car out of the box. I advise to use two hands out of it. The cover to the car is literally like a flexible plastic from a party cup. It&rsquo;s a sleek plastic but still very cheap. If this crashing into you wall it may not damage it but I am not sure how it will survive many hard crashes. This is definitely a toy for the open outdoors and dry weather due to its speed. We have tested it on the side walk, on wood floor and carpet and it works well and still fast. It's a big, black car, which has stylized graphics and decals. It also has a simulated roll cage in it, and it has real rubber tires. It comes with batteries for the remote as well, which is bigger and brightly colored; easier for small hands to hold and control. It is a differently styled remote consisting of a long, taller straight handle with a wheel at the top for turning it. I like that it is much easier to control, with the wheel giving it a better turning ratio and also being more sturdy; no simple control sticks that can easily snap. The car itself is also rechargeable, which is super convenient. No batteries to constantly change. The car has a USB cord tucked away in the bottom of the car in a compartment. You easily open up the compartment, pull out the cord, plug in the car, and wait for the charging light to turn green. My son enjoys hours and hours of playing with the car with his dad!
