It took me about 45 min to put together (without stickers) and my husband had to fiddle with the elevator a few more minutes to get it working. The ramps tend to come apart fairly easy and a few of the gates broke early on, but that hasn't affected the play. The ramps easily snap back together quickly. The biggest issue we have is the elevator frequently gets stuck on the lower levels, and you have to give it a push with the hands to help it up. I'm a bit worried the string may break one of these days when it gets stuck and we don't push it, but so far it's OK. Overall a good toy for the money, and keeps my boys pretty happy with all of their little matchbox and other cars. Oh, the stickers are kind of a pain to attach (we've had it 3 weeks and still don't have them all on), but again that doesn't affect the play. It is made of pretty flimsy plastic, which I was disappointed with in the first place. The elevator never did work from day one, but since my son loved it anyway, we overlooked that. However, the clip-on track pieces started breaking soon afterward. Now two of the track pieces are broken, making the spiral track unusable. My son doesn't play hard, but these flimsy pieces that connect together with flimsy connections just broke with minor tugging and playing. But since the piece thats broken is the end connection part of the track, the whole playset can NOT be used. And of course I have NO box to put it in &amp; return it because as I opened the play set I broke the box down into little pieces to reduce the room of waste...GRRRR!!! I'm still giving this product 3 stars because minus the broken piece, it is exactly what I thought it would be &amp; my son would have loved playing with it!
