Installing using both the latch and seatbelt were pretty standard for a convertible car seat. It was fine for travel, but my son, who is bigger than average, maxed out of the weight before he was ready to move into a booster. It is also very cheaply made; the clips that hold the fabric in place snapped along the bottom of the car seat. It is also just a basic plastic shell over a metal frame so it's not particularly comfortable for the child (in comparison, our diono has a memory foam cushion in the seat). So easy to install and easy to care for. I've never had trouble getting my son secure and he's been riding in it for 3 years now. It&rsquo;s on the bulky side but looks so comfy and cozy for my little chunky boy. We love the reclining options which that&rsquo;s what we were looking for and also the easy tightening on the safety straps. Also another extra that I never thought I would care for is the buckle holders and now that I have them they are really helpful especially to keep the metal buckles from getting hot in the summer time. I have it rear facing so it's pretty hard to turn the knobs on the side to tighten the straps.
