Purchased September 2020, made August 2018.. baby is due October 2020 - meaning I have less than 4 years use out of it! I can&rsquo;t stand the hook clips - so much harder to connect to the UAS anchors. Also they have different length settings for the straps (infant/toddler). Evenflo makes such great products. My almost two year old is still rear facing in this seat and he is so comfortable. I love how easy this seat is to move between cars. It is light weight so it makes it easier to carry the seat and my child when switching cars. The dark colors help prevent staining. There is just enough padding to keep my child safe without being too thick. But I wasn't happy with my own installation so I actually went to a fire station where 2 very fit firefighters would not secure the seat where it wouldn't move or slide side to side by a significant amount. Just an awful design. I would not recommend this product. I went and bought the evenflo every stage with easy installation and I love it. I have it rear facing and while it is very tall and somewhat challenging to get her in since she is in the middle seat (due to my type of vehicle not the seat itself) I feel she is very safe and secure. I highly recommend this seat. This seat in not too wide either. The SureRide is more difficult to set up, more difficult to install, and seemingly offer is my child less comfort as there are not shoulder pads or a crotch pad. Not quite as padded as more expensive seats but it costs a lot less. The best thing about this seat is its lightweight if you need to move it between cars, but I hope you don&rsquo;t have to. I found it very difficult to install in the car and the straps were too short if I needed to install rear facing. The plastic on the bottom stick out out a little bit, so you really need to make sure you have a cover on your seat. I could see this tearing a hole in a seat eventually. The straps seem to be hard to tighten, no matter which way you have it facing. Sometimes one side is loose and one is tight. They also don't come with shoulder strap pads, I would purchase some separately if you can. It rubbed on my sons neck and made marks. My Odyssey is very roomy, but this was close to touching my front seat. No luck, it is much larger than what can fit safely and comfortably in a regular sized Prius. It does, however fit perfectly in the middle or any side of my husbands 2005 Chevy Tahoe. We eventually found that the Graco My Ride fit in the back of the Prius while rear facing. The other disadvantage I found is when tightening the straps. The only thing I did not like is that in the details on the website it does not say that the SensorSafe feature cannot be used with cars older than 2008. It's the only brand that we use for carseats and travel systems for our 2 sons. Even the seats we have purchased for grandparent vehicles are Evenflo. We have always been happy with the ease of installation, smoothness of the belts, cup holder size/placement, weight of seat, pricing and safety ratings. This seat didn't let us down. We utilize this seat for forward facing and installation was a breeze. It fit snug into the captain seats of my Tahoe and there was lot of leg room to the front seat. The harness straps are easily adjustable and clip together with little effort. The only thing about the straps is they seem a little close together. My son sometimes gets red marks on his neck and complains about them. He doesn't complain about the straps in our other seats. The weight of this seat wasn't too bad for me to move. I guess I would say that it was light and not burdensome. The drawback to this seat is that there are no cup holders. That for me is the biggest negative as there is no where to sit a drink or even a few small toys. Very durable and our five year old fits in it pretty well. The back goes pretty high so that is a good thing. I&rsquo;ve been using this car seat for a couple months now to put it through its paces to form a more thorough opinion, and my analysis thus far is as follows... The Good: This car seat is very light particularly for how big it is. With the latch system it is very easy to install and take out of the vehicle making it easy to transport. The straps used for the latch system are much easier to release than the car seat I was using prior to receiving this one which is a big benefit if you plan to move it between vehicles regularly. Where it falls short: It is gigantic; so much so that when installing it as a rear facing seat it only fits in our F-150. Due to the reclined position when it&rsquo;s rear facing it won&rsquo;t fit in a Mazda6 at all and only fits in a Hyundai Santa Fe if the front seat is all the way forward and relatively upright. Additionally, due to the size of this car seat it is difficult to carry around when traveling (I&rsquo;d take the heavier car seat over this one when flying for example). The other shortcoming I&rsquo;ve found so far is position of the release lever for the child restraints is difficult to get to when the seat is rear facing and I find I regularly have to open the Velcro cover over the release just to loosen the restraints enough to get our son out. Overall Summary: This is a decent forward facing car seat with plenty of room to grow with your child, but it&rsquo;s too big for probably most vehicles when rear facing. It&rsquo;s easy to install and switch between vehicles, and as long as it&rsquo;s forward facing it&rsquo;s easy to get the child in and out. The seat is very lightweight. There is an arrow on the base of the seat, indicating if your seat it level (which is required). I am able to check this before putting my son into the seat during each ride. In rearfacing mode,the seat moves a little and feels a little flimsy. In rearfacing mode, the top doesn't feel very secure, although most car seats without rearfacing tethers feel the same way. My son seems comfortable in this (he is 1). The straps lie very close to his neck, resulting in me purchasing shoulder pads to protect my son (which isn't a big deal). The belt tightening is a little challenging in that you really have to pull to get slack. Overall, I feel safe putting my son in this seat.
