For starters, it comes in the box pretty much assembled. There are only 3 things you have to do to leverage it (1) unhook the car seat from the base (2) snap the canopy (shield/overhead) into place and (3) adjust the car seat straps to suit your baby. The fabric is machine washable but it is also made of vinyl so it allows you to wipe the material fairly easily if anything should spill on it. This is a huge plus since no one really likes having to go through the trouble of constantly disassembling a car seat to wash the fabric constantly. To adjust the straps for your little one, you have to do it from the back. Which is typical. What I love about the option here is that they have holsters to make it easy for you to slide and adjust the straps to your desired length. Once you have it adjusted to your little one, snapping him in and out of the seat should be fairly easy. The weight allows for up to 22lbs which, depending on the size of your baby, may give you about 10 months before you have to upgrade -- not bad! Added bonus, it's not too heavy so running up a flight of stairs or transferring from one place to another won't feel as bulky. In terms of the base, it is very easy to install. Not much to say there. The only criticism is the canopy is small and the car seat does not have the head cushion that I've seen with other evenflo car seat products. I love it! It is super light weight but sturdy does not feel too flimsy! It's good for the price. Now for the Cons this is my personally opinion as a mom of three constantly going through all different types of baby products Cons: I Do not like that the fastening for the straps is on the back and individual buttons.. And I do not like that you have to connect both of the buckle both of the pieces together before you can click it in.. The size isn't as clunky as most other models that are used as a 3 in 1. It is lightweight and durable and fits much better in the backseat than our other car seat in our 2nd car. The only negative is my son is big and may outgrow this seat quicker than anticipated considering the weight for this seat is limited.
